I recently ordered this balm for the second time. The first time I tried the cherry flavor, and it had a great scent and moisturizing effect. The second time, I went for the classic version, and besides the pleasant scent and moisture, it also leaves a nice cooling sensation on the lips. I would definitely rate it 10/10.

After using it for 3 days, I can say the following: it doesn't exactly moisturize, but it does a pretty good job at preventing dryness, or rather, it nourishes.

A week after lip augmentation, I applied it to everything I saw around me - Nivea sticks (3-, tight, drying), Maybelline baby lips "cherry" stick (4+, moisturizing, pleasant on the lips, but disappears quickly, I only like the cherry one), and Laneige mask (4+, a great overnight mask with a good composition), everything was temporary and disappeared quickly.

Surprisingly, this balm is enough to apply 2-3 times a day. Yes, it cools due to camphor and menthol.

A big plus is that it doesn't contain Phenol, even though it is present in other forms of this balm. If it really is without Phenol, then I definitely recommend this one.

I personally didn't notice the presence of menthol in the product, but applying it on a cold surface is not very pleasant. It also has a medicinal scent, which I don't find appealing. Overall, I do not recommend it. Additionally, I've heard that using this particular lip balm can lead to dependency.

Regarding the rumors about it being addictive - it is absolutely true. If you use it regularly, after about 2 weeks your lips will become INCREDIBLY dry if you try to switch to a product from another brand. Honestly, I cannot recommend it. If you are willing to pay extra for the brand name and be content with soft lips only when using specifically Carmex, then go ahead and buy it, but it definitely is not worth it.
