Cream Base Davines A New Colour Cream Base

The cream base is the cornerstone of the new A NEW COLOUR dyeing system. Indeed, it enables the achievement of the same results traditionally obtained only with ammonia-based dyes, but in the case of A NEW COLOUR, without using ammonia.

The primary active ingredient in the cream base is sodium metasilicate, an alkaline component of natural origin derived from quartz crystals. It is characterized by a high light refraction index, significantly stronger than that of a diamond, which contributes to giving hair an incredible shine. Due to its texture, akin to that of glass, it is sometimes referred to as "liquid glass." Sodium metasilicate is water-soluble, as it is derived from biological raw materials, and is biodegradable. It works in synergy with MEA, creating an alkaline environment necessary for the penetration of color pigments inside the hair. It is precisely because of the presence of metasilicate in the A NEW COLOUR system that this paint delivers such a vivid result, comparable to that of ammonia dyes. However, the ammonia-free A NEW COLOUR system does not damage the hair's structure. The cream base also contains vitamin C, well known for its antioxidant properties. It acts in synergy with carotenoids and melanin contained in the cream dye to create a mixture with a pronounced anti-radical action.

Vegetable petrolatum is an entirely natural substance, obtained from castor oil and carnauba wax. Castor oil, known since ancient times for its softening and protective properties, prevents hair breakage and the formation of split ends. Carnauba wax provides shine and has antioxidant action. It adds shine to the hair, moisturizes, and conditions.
