A unique, contemporary cult creation with a dazzling fruit-floral scent of pear, orange, and jasmine leaves a gentle warming trace on the skin.
Nearly 10 years later, Karl Lagerfeld's iconic fragrance returns in a new guise named Rouge. The name directly references one of the designer's favorite shades.
The composition is "unique, modern, and captivating," as described by perfumer Romain Almeras (Robertet), who developed the fragrance. He was inspired by the diverse universe of Karl Lagerfeld's creativity, where different dimensions collide and create thrilling paradoxes. This duality has also influenced the new perfume, focusing on the contrast between classic inspirations and the spirit of the modern avant-garde.
The fragrance opens with a dazzling bouquet of jasmine, fleur d'orange, and patchouli, which then develops into a trio of notes of peach, pear, and blackcurrant. The base combines accords of cashmere wood, ambroxan with creamy vanilla and caramel, creating a warm and soft aftertaste. The result is an unexpected but balanced olfactory harmony.
The iconic bottle retains the same distinctive, timeless lines as the original Karl Lagerfeld Pour Femme Eau de Parfum bottle: perfectly geometric. A glass monolith with a clear cap over a metallic ring with spikes. The only change, though significant, is the hypnotic red color that envelops the entire bottle.
