Almond Acid

Almond acid is obtained through hydrolysis from the extract of bitter almonds and does not cause severe irritation.

Almond acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that breaks down the protein bonds between corneocytes, causing them to slough off. It stimulates the production of collagen and proteoglycan synthesis, facilitating the skin rejuvenation process. Since the molecule of almond acid is larger and penetrates much deeper than the molecule of glycolic acid, the effect of chemical exfoliation is more pronounced.

The almond peel formula, Mandelic Peel AM, eliminates oily skin defects and also combats photoaging and/or hyperpigmentation.

The main component of the peel – almond acid – has a keratolytic and anti-seborrheic effect and also inhibits the activity of microorganisms that cause acne. Mandelic Peel AM reduces hyperpigmentation caused by solar radiation, lightens, and evens out the skin tone.

It moisturizes and exfoliates the skin, facilitating the removal of dead cells and skin regeneration.

Indications:

Recommended for oily and acne-prone skin with signs of photoaging.

Ideal to use before biorevitalization treatments with mesohyal and especially before depigmenting treatment.
