The Fraser Fir Demeter Fragrance is a scent designed for both men and women, falling within the woody fougère category.
Our whole concept revolves around the idea of smelling the trees of the forest. Each one has its unique scent, and they all smell wonderful. The Fraser Fir was named after John Fraser (1750-1811), a Scottish botanist who explored the Southern Appalachian Mountains in the late 18th century. In many ways, the Fraser Fir and the Balsam Fir are very similar, although their geographical ranges do not overlap. Some scientists even suggest that due to their many similarities, these two species were once a single species that eventually evolved into the modern forms. The Fraser Fir has a somewhat limited range. In the wild, it only grows at elevations above 4,500 feet in the mountains of the Southern Appalachians from southwestern Virginia, through western North Carolina, and into eastern Tennessee. There are several stands in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The highest point of its habitat is Mount Mitchell, North Carolina (6,684 feet), which is the highest point in the U.S. east of the Mississippi River. Today, the Fraser Fir is most popular as the quintessential American Christmas tree. Demeter's Fraser Fir version is like a living tree in the forest, all green, cool, and crisp, as if you are walking through a multitude of freshly cut Christmas trees.
