The captivating perfume opus La Manufacture Admirabilis has become the sixth in the collection of the exclusive niche house, dedicated to the traditions and rich history of its native France. Each of their creations is a kind of immersive journey to one of the corners of this incredibly beautiful country, where a unique atmosphere reigns, unmistakable with any other. The unisex creation with a sensual oriental character was introduced to the brand's lineup in 2017 and is dedicated to the picturesque lands of the Fonfroide Abbey in the southern part of France. Here, under the vaults of an ancient Catholic church, an aura of complete tranquility and serenity prevails, with the first rays of dawn sun playing through the arches of the ancient building. This magical interplay of light and shadow has been masterfully captured by the perfumers in the aromatic pyramid of La Manufacture Admirabilis, which starts with top notes of juicy greenery and ripe citrus: mandarin, lemon, and noble bergamot. Exotic elemi resins enrich the picture with even darker mystique, while in combination with frankincense and agarwood, they effectively showcase the mysterious “dark side” of the fragrance. In the trail's canvas, shades of smoky vetiver and sacred myrrh, deep labdanum, and the scorching bitterness of tolu balsam merge in unison. The composition leaves behind an intriguing amber-benzoin aftertaste, lightly spiced with balsamic drops of patchouli and sensual oriental musk.
