The Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum 2018 was dedicated to the fashion house's 30th anniversary, symbolizing timeless feminine elegance. Perfumer Richard Herpin, renowned for his work with Tom Ford, Van Cleef & Arpels, among others, helped create this fragrance. Housed in a faceted amethyst-colored bottle, the floral scent centers around the heart of magnolia. Inspiration was drawn from the flowering trees in the backyard of a Kentucky country home once owned by the fashion house's owning duo. "We have always been enchanted by these magnolia flowers, but we also loved the idea of creating a scent reminiscent of floral champagne," says James Mischka.
Top notes greet with a rich bouquet of white iris and pear tree flowers, lightened by the freshness of neroli and a subtle spiciness of pink pepper.
Middle notes unveil a floral composition with rich and elegant jasmine, accented by elegant green nuances. The multifaceted fragrance is enhanced by soft magnolia, delicate peony, peachy-honey osmanthus, light tuberose, and sensual Sambac jasmine.
Base notes almost completely transform the character of the fragrance, where the floral foundation shifts to a warm trail of woody sandalwood, musk, and amber notes, complemented by a sweet touch of coconut.
