The scent is not very pleasant, but it is not overpowering and dissipates quickly. The hold is average, but definitely not suitable for long hair.
This product personally suits me! The finish is excellent and it holds well. I have also tried another styling cream from the same brand. To fully describe my review, I would have to resort to using profanity.
