Petitgrain belongs to the citrus family and is a natural aphrodisiac and aromatic adaptogen. Its essential oil is extracted through steam distillation from the leaves and unripe fruits. It is recommended for use in addressing sexual issues, headaches, and migraines.
Petitgrain essential oil can be used in its pure form or in combination with other essential oils for massages, baths, hair and skin care, inhalations, and room fragrance, as well as a deodorant. It actively combats hair loss and baldness, acne, and herpes rashes. It alleviates muscle pain and spasms and helps with inflammation, arthritis, myositis, and osteochondrosis. It also eases fatigue.
Usage Instructions: Petitgrain essential oil can be used in its pure form or blended with other essential oils (such as clary sage, citrus oils, and rosewood).
Skin and Hair Care: Enrich cosmetic products (shampoos, creams) with 7 drops of the oil (or oil blend) per 15 g of base (1-2 tablespoons). For hair loss: treat hair twice a week with the following mixture: combine 50 ml of jojoba oil with 20 drops of petitgrain oil, 5 drops of rosemary oil, and 2 drops of thyme oil. Apply this mixture to the hair and wrap your head with a warm towel to enhance its healing effect.
For daily use: mix 50 ml of ethanol with 10 drops of lavender and 5 drops of rosemary.
Massage: blend 7-8 drops of the oil (or oil blend) with 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (such as avocado, jojoba, wheat germ, or grape seed oil).
Inhalations and Room Fragrance: Aromatherapy burners: add 4-7 drops of oil per 15 sq. meters to the water-filled diffuser and light a candle. Aroma medallion: 2-3 drops.
Breathing exercises for positivity and harmony: apply 7 drops of petitgrain on the palms, rub the oil, and hold the palms 5-7 cm from the face, keeping them vertical. Perform a deep inhale - breath hold - exhale in a 1:4:2 time ratio. Gradually increase the duration from 1 to 7 minutes daily.
Deodorant: blend 50 ml of ethanol with 5 drops of petitgrain oil, 5 drops of sage oil, 5 drops of thyme oil, and 5 drops of cypress oil. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and use it as a regular morning deodorant.
Baths: mix 5-7 drops of oil (or oil blend) with 30-60 g of an emulsifier (salt, soda, honey, bath foam, cream, bran, etc.) and add to a full bath. For calming the nervous system, migraines, and headaches: 5 drops of melissa, 3 drops of lavender, 2 drops of petitgrain. Cool foot baths: 7-8 drops. Ideal oil for tired feet that swell in hot weather or under heavy loads: relieves burning, pain, and swelling.
Compresses and applications on injured areas. Dissolve 4-5 drops of oil in a container with hot water, soak a piece of absorbent fabric, squeeze out excess water, and apply as a compress.
Contraindications: Possible photosensitization; do not apply to the skin less than 60 minutes before sun exposure. Individual intolerance.

Essential oil of petitgrain
I constantly order here, adding it to my shampoo - I really like both the scent and the effect.
I really enjoy the refreshing scent of this fresh pomegranate product. It works great as a hair nourishment, so I like to add it to my shampoo. I am very satisfied with it.
The scent is very pronounced, a mix between bergamot and tea tree, long-lasting and doesn't fade quickly. It smells slightly musty, like damp plaster, and has a hint of menthol. There's no trace of citrus or floral notes. I bought it for migraines, sniffed it before bedtime, but woke up with a headache. The smell of the oil is so off-putting that I don't even want to look at it. It just doesn't work for me.
