Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it by boiling it in water for 3-5 minutes. Be sure to wash your hands with soap beforehand. Fold the cup. There are different folding methods you can try to find the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. After insertion, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is properly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the bottom of the cup - it should be round or oval when correctly inserted. If you feel dents or indentations, the cup has not fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once it's in place, try gently pulling on the stem; if you feel resistance, the suction is set, and the cup is successfully installed!
