Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. First, be sure to wash your hands with soap. Fold the cup, as there are various folding methods you can try to find the one that suits you best. Insert the folded cup and allow it to expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup will open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating it is correctly positioned. If you're unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you detect dents or folds, the cup hasn't fully opened. Gently grip the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. Once in place, give the stem a slight tug; if you feel resistance, the suction is established, and the cup is successfully in place!
