Actinic Control MD with SPF 100 - a certified medical product for the prevention of actinic keratosis and non-melanoma skin cancer. Additionally, it is used for the adjunctive treatment of actinic keratosis.
Ultraviolet damage to the DNA in keratinocytes can lead to actinic keratosis. Actinic keratosis is the most common precancerous skin condition, which, if left untreated, can evolve into non-melanoma skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma).
The high efficacy of Actinic Control MD is ensured by its high SPF 100. The higher the SPF, the more UVB rays are blocked, which are the primary cause of cellular damage. The more UVB rays are blocked, the less cellular damage accumulates on the skin when it is exposed to the sun. For instance, SPF 100 blocks about 99% of UVB rays. Additionally, the high level of SPF 100 can also compensate for inadequate application of sunscreen.
