Montale Black Aoud Intense Eau de Parfum

The longevity is really good. You can clearly hear the notes of wood, rose, citrus, and leather. It's a great find for fans of heavy artillery. The scent is complex and suitable for any time of the year. I never notice it on myself, but I often receive compliments.

If this fragrance is intended for women, then women must have steel... um... nerves)))) There is a lot of rose in the opening, it's strange that it is only advertised as woody, there are only salty and bitter woody notes in the dry down. It would be cool if they added more rose! Hopefully, it will mellow out and give a chance to other components. The oud is loud and medicinal, but the rose overpowers it.
Overall, for an untrained nose, it could be shocking and disastrous) and it probably has its holy times in cold weather. In the heat, it could cause one's own demise and take others down with them!)

This fragrance is extremely heavy and suffocating. When I first opened the package, I was happy because the scent was unusual and had character. However, after just one spray, it became clear that it doesn't suit men at all. The rose note is simply overpowering and it stays on the skin for at least two days. It will probably linger on clothes for a month. I'm disappointed :-(

The fragrance is luxurious! It is expensive and rich, a true niche scent. However, the box arrived open and very battered. If this is a discounted item, please indicate it immediately. Minus points for the makeup.

My first Montale completely shattered my understanding of perfumery. It started with a "hospital" accord, with all the accompanying elements - bandages, iodine, castor oil. But after sniffing it properly, I came to the conclusion that it was the same medicinal patchouli (see Patchouli Magique by "Novaya Zarya"), spiced with woody notes and oud, I suppose. This oud adds softness and suppresses some sharpness. It plays out for about half an hour, then rose comes in with the same oud, which tinges it with languor and depth. The base is a soft enveloping musk with lingering traces of oud. I don't sense the claimed mandarin. It's all very beautiful, enchanting, and mysterious, like something Arabic.

On the skin, it lasts a couple of hours, with a trail, but not a "tail" that lingers. On clothing, it lasts for days. It's been four days, and there is still a distinct musky base on my sweater (which is made of natural wool, by the way).

It is suitable for both women and men. Those unfamiliar with Montale should definitely give it a try.

I love Pierre Montale's work, but even the same perfume in different bottles can be quite different. I already have my third full-sized bottle of Black Aoud Intense, one of them is a luxurious blend of patchouli and oud, while the other two, especially my latest purchase with MakeUP, have a delightful scent of oriental sweetness, rose water, and Turkish delight, with no noticeable oud resin and no mention of patchouli at all. I also bought some samples, and in them, the perfume had a dry, slightly bitter vetiver scent, making it difficult to rely on the sample perfume as well. However, I actually like that the fragrance, despite having the same name, has such different contents in these eye-catching metallic bottles.

The scent of oud is long-lasting and has a combination of medicinal balm and frankincense, which gave me a headache but my husband liked it. I didn't notice any hints of pink or musk, as I bought it based on reviews without testing it. When applied on the wrist and inhaled, it has a pleasant aroma, but if worn as a trail, it makes me want to run away. I recommend testing it before purchasing as perfume is a strictly individual choice. This is my fourth Montale fragrance, and I can't imagine it on a woman but it works for a man! There is no doubt about the originality of the product.

I didn't find any delight in the rahat lukum or light sweetness. However, I really enjoyed the strong scent. But before buying, I tested it in the store.
