The olfactory pyramid of Franck Boclet Violet Eau de Parfum:
Top notes captivate with a richness of spices blended with the citrus freshness. Nutmeg and slightly resinous cardamom give the fragrance sensual warmth, and white and black pepper accords add an energizing accent to the introduction.
Heart notes reveal an alluring solo of velvety violet that shimmers with sweet, powdery shades.
Base notes complete the composition with calming woody overflows that offer unparalleled comfort and peace.
Not very good, it has more of a masculine scent. The longevity is average, tobacco smells better.
It's a pity that there are few reviews specifically about the fragrance. And some of them are just "amazing" or "didn't like it". People, please write about the scent notes - it's important.
So, here are my impressions. I was looking for a fragrance for spring. I wanted something light, violet-like. I prefer niche perfumery because there is less synthetic and more interesting combinations, unlike in mainstream perfumes. I also love the "unisex" direction because I often like notes traditionally found in men's perfumes, and in unisex fragrances, they are present but softer.
After familiarizing myself with the pyramid, I bought it without hesitation because it had the notes I like.
And now, what my nose feels. I'm not exactly sure how cardamom smells, maybe it's its scent, but the first notes seem like woody resins to me. Warm, extremely comfortable notes that remind me of home coziness. In my opinion, early spring suits it well because outside, winter is still competing with spring, but at home, under a blanket, with a laptop and tea, it's so cozy.
But then miracles happen - the resinous notes calm down and instead, a delicate violet appears. But in the company of pepper - an unusual combination! And the further we go in time, the more sweet and floral it becomes. Citrus is mentioned in the pyramid, but I didn't feel it, but yesterday, during a workout when only the base was left on me, it unexpectedly revealed itself with a pleasant sourness. So, the fragrance will delight us with unexpected pleasant surprises - it plays according to the temperature and is different. Everything that I love about niche perfumery.
I haven't worn it in the wind and cold yet - if additional facets open up, I will add to the review. But for now, this perfume has impressed me as pleasant, comfortable, and cozy. I'm not sure if it has a strong sillage - it's more for personal enjoyment. In my opinion, it's more feminine, but again - everything is individual.
