In 1872, a prestigious British Royal perfumery released a luxurious men's fragrance, incorporating the most valuable natural extracts from various corners of the British Empire. Its supreme quality was highly appreciated by Queen Victoria of Britain. In a gesture of her admiration for the fragrance, the queen gifted the perfumery her crown, a miniature of which adorned the bottle of the magnificent scent. In 1999, British perfumer Clive Christian recreated this luxurious fragrance, utilizing the original formula of the British perfume house. The fragrance, in honor of the date of its initial release, was aptly named – 1872.
Upon contact with the skin, the exquisite fragrance captivates with a masterful blend of natural citrus extracts framed by notes of spices and grain. The heart is conquered by a refined and delicate cocktail of jasmine, freesia, cyclamen, and sage. The composition is elegantly concluded with notes of patchouli, frankincense, and cedar in a musky-amber setting. The luxurious authentic bottle, made of green crystal and adorned with a precious crown-shaped cap, perfectly emphasizes the true richness of the Clive Christian 1872 men’s fragrance.
