Lightening Hair Spray - John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray
I really liked the spray, it actually brightens the hair. I have naturally light brown hair, so it suited me well. Of course, if your hair is darker, don't expect a wow effect right away. The spray has a cumulative effect. It's a great thing for those who want lightening without dyeing their hair.
This is a great product for natural blondes to add subtle highlights to their hair! I really liked it, as it provides gentle lighting without damaging the hair, and has a pleasant scent :) The result is smooth and gradual, so you won't instantly become light-haired, everything looks very natural! It gives my hair a beautiful warm color, without any yellow or reddish tones... I used it twice a week at first, then reduced it to once a week. My hair is not dried out, as I always moisturize it additionally and have good masks and care products. It's a wonderful alternative to dyeing! I definitely recommend it to natural blondes! 5 stars!!!
I have previously purchased this product in a different bottle with a black cap, and it was really effective. However, the one in the lemon bottle with a light cap seems to be just like water instead of a spray. It doesn't have any distinctive smell that is characteristic of a product containing peroxide. It's just like water, and the effectiveness is also non-existent.
Good product
I have been using this product for over a year now, so I can confidently recommend it. I naturally have light-brown hair, but I wanted the sun-kissed effect as if it were summer. I used it once a month to achieve a subtle transition. Since I have short hair, one application was enough for about 7 times. However, if you leave the solution on your hands for too long, you may notice white spots, similar to those caused by hydrogen peroxide. Overall, I am satisfied with this product as it does not dry out my scalp or hair. It provides a gentle lightening effect that is noticeable from the first use.
I did not like the spray! Firstly, I developed an allergy on my arm. Secondly, it has a very strong smell when you start to dry... It gives me a headache and makes me feel like I can't breathe properly! Overall, I didn't see any lightening effect! Also, it is not recommended to use it frequently because it dries out the hair horribly! I applied it only to the front strands near my face, not the entire head.
After using one bottle of this product, my hair became two shades lighter. I also noticed that my hair didn't appear drier after lightening it. I decided to buy two more bottles to maintain the root growth.
I don't agree with the positive reviews. I've used it for every wash, but my hair didn't lighten even by 1/10 of a shade. Not at all. However, the spray didn't dry out my hair as many people here claim.
Girls, this is shocking, but yes, the spray works! You have to be careful, of course, because it dries out your hair a lot, but any lightening product also dries it out. In short, this is a great find. For those who don't believe it, I recommend at least doing a strand test, and you will see how your hair lightens right before your eyes!
The spray really works. My brown hair has become a shade lighter. But don't get too carried away with it because it contains hydrogen peroxide.
The spray is wonderful, giving the effect as if the hair has been sunburned. I have a natural light warm shade of blonde hair. I only used it after washing my hair and never more than 5 sprays at a time (the instructions state that it should not be used more than once after each hair wash). The effect is not immediately noticeable, but after about a month, the changes are clearly visible. Another clarification - I have oily hair, so the spray did not dry it out excessively.
Terrible spray. It's not even close to being a substitute for Sunkiss by L'Oreal. It doesn't effectively lighten hair - not colored, natural, or gray. It burns the scalp strongly, and dandruff appears immediately.
I have always dyed my hair in a salon, but decided to try this product on my grown-out roots. I have used it 7 times now, and after the 5th application, I had to tone it with a shampoo and conditioner for yellow tones. However, the color turned out great, and my hair definitely lightened by 2 shades. There is still a hint of red, but I will continue using it and have already bought a second bottle. It doesn't damage my hair at all, or maybe it does, but not as much as blonde hair dye! I only recommend it if you have your own natural brown or light brown hair!
I have naturally light Russian hair, and if we talk about the color palette, it's around 6-7 tones. After 5 uses, the entire bottle was gone. It lightened significantly, but I ended up with a reddish shade. I think another bottle and 5 more uses will solve the problem, but I'll have to wash my hair with a toning shampoo to get rid of the yellow tint! (I'm just not satisfied with the results, neither red nor yellow). It does damage the hair, but not too much. I wouldn't recommend, as some girls here suggest, applying the spray to the hair and going out in the sun. The hair gets even more split ends in the sun, I don't even know what's worse, the hairdryer or the sun! The hair turned a horrible copper color after the first use, somewhere around the 5th use. I'll write another review after 10 uses.
Great spray. I've been waiting for Loreal Sunkiss to become available, but since it's still not in stock, I started looking for an alternative. And this spray turned out to be even better. It has a gentler effect on the hair and the results are visible faster. I used it 5 times to achieve the desired shade. In between uses, I applied masks with oils to prevent hair damage. The only downside is that it's a bit difficult to press and it strains the hands.
I have dark chestnut hair. I lightened it to a reddish hue, but I didn't like the result.
I received a defective spray. The consultant contacted me. Today the courier exchanged this product for another one. Thank you for your work.
I have ordered this spray not for the first time, and it beautifully lightens the hair, lifting it by 2 shades from a brown shade. Now I only apply it to the roots. It's important not to use it too often because it can slightly damage the hair, but it is a wonderful alternative to complex dyeing techniques. It's quick and convenient.
I have dark brown hair, and after using this spray for six months, I have almost become a blonde. However, I use it moderately because the transitional color was not attractive. In the end, everyone thinks that I dyed my hair blonde. It gives a beautiful effect of sun-bleached hair.
I spray it on my roots as well, and in the summer, my strands instantly get bleached by the sun. Despite this, my hair remains just as soft and silky. I am thrilled with the results and will be ordering it for the second time.
It really lightens the hair. But be prepared to "turn ginger". I have light-brown roots (leaning towards grey) and almost blonde ends (which get sun-bleached). So now I'm a redhead. I use it after every wash. I don't blow-dry my hair. I don't notice any damage to my hair after using the spray. Don't apply it too close to the roots, otherwise you can see the regrowth, like after a failed lightening session. I think if you use it in the summer, when you're out in the sun, the effect would be just what you need.
Absolutely amazing!!! It works wonders on color-treated hair, effortlessly lightening it. Without any hair masks, my hair ends up feeling like straw.
It excels at its task.
Great value for the price.
Does not damage hair.
Delivery is top-notch, special thanks to Makeup for the gift!
I highly recommend it! The spray worked amazingly well! Many people wonder if it damages their hair. Absolutely not! If you use masks and conditioners, your hair will remain lively and healthy, just as before.
I didn't expect instant results, but I was amazed that after just one use, my grown-out roots became lighter and blended in with the rest of my hair! I have brown hair with a few grays at the temples, and after using it twice, it lightened just enough so that the gray hairs became less noticeable, and I can comfortably wait another month before coloring again! In my opinion, it doesn't damage the hair and has a gentle effect.
Great spray. After using it for 1 month (4-5 times), my dark brown hair became light golden. Exactly the effect I wanted, as if I didn't dye it drastically but still changed the shade.
I really liked this product. I bought it 2 years ago when I was transitioning from being a total blonde. I would spray a little bit on my roots and gradually lighten my hair. It didn't damage my hair, it lightened it to the level I wanted, and my hair felt refreshed and healthy. One bottle lasted me a year! (I only sprayed a little bit, and my hair easily lightens, especially at the roots). Now I'm buying it again because I accidentally damaged my hair with another product and I need to restore it.
What is the point of such an impressive composition if all the components come after the fragrance, which is only 2%? The entire brand's product line is marketed as being based on the benefits of natural ingredients, but in reality, there are peroxides, silicones... Yes, there is an effect, but not the one claimed by the manufacturer. Packaging peroxide in an expensive bottle and selling it as a super product for blondes with a 1000% markup is definitely a cool marketing strategy...
I have been using this spray for about three months now. I used to use it more frequently, but now I only use it once a week. It is essential to use a hair straightener afterwards to achieve more noticeable results. My hair has changed from dark brown to golden. I haven't been able to achieve a light blonde shade yet, but I still like it. Initially, it had a slight yellow tint, so I toned it with Concept blond shampoo and conditioner. It does damage the hair, but not excessively. However, if you use heat protectant and do weekly hair masks, everything works great.
The smell is pleasant, but it can be deceptive. It is necessary to use gloves and spray with maximum caution, as it may cause irritation. Another downside is the "red hair effect" if used excessively or frequently. However, overall it works and lightens hair tone by 1-2 shades when used moderately.
Amazing spray! It gives a fantastic sun-kissed effect to both blondes and those with light brown hair. Everyone compliments me and thinks I dyed my hair because it looks so beautiful and natural. As long as you use it moderately and keep your hair well moisturized, it won't cause dryness. I highly recommend using a heat protectant and oils to keep your hair in good condition.
I purchased this product as a replacement for L'Oreal Sun Kiss, and it does work, but not as effectively as I had hoped. I apply it to dry hair and then proceed to blow dry it.
I have naturally light hair, and once a year I lighten it with a toner. I tried it only on the roots, and after the second application, it became slightly noticeable. After the third application, the effect was amazing! My hair is now golden and lighter by 2 shades. I'm taking a break now because I think it would look unnatural. Right now, it looks like sun-bleached strands, evenly distributed from the roots. I am very satisfied! I applied it to damp, freshly washed hair, blow-dried it, and applied hair oil.
Before ordering the spray, I read many reviews about it. Many users wrote about it causing dryness. Therefore, I use it with breaks of two weeks, do overnight masks with different oils, and, of course, use hair oil for the ends. The spray does not damage my hair. I have natural blonde hair and now the ends are light with a hint of red. Over time, the color does not change at all. I liked the spray.
I decided to buy this spray after they stopped producing my favorite L'Oreal Sunkiss. I am disappointed... that's an understatement. It dries out my hair terribly, masks don't help... and on top of that, the effect is barely noticeable. I do not recommend it.
I am one of those "darkened after childbirth" blondes and those who have tried a million different lightening products without dyeing. So, this is the only product that really works. But there is a big "BUT". In the pursuit of brightening, I didn't follow the instructions and ended up severely drying out my hair. Take care of your hair, maintain a balance - 5-6 uses, then a minimum 2-3 week break. Plus, use conditioning masks. If you use it in the summer, only 2-3 uses are enough before taking a couple of weeks off. Otherwise, your hair will be too dry and over-bleached with a yellowish tint. I have been using this product for over 5 years and haven't found anything better.
It brightens excellently. And I deal with dryness regularly using oil masks and hair serums, as well as ordinary summer products.
I have ash-blonde hair. With the help of this spray, I create highlights by spraying it on individual strands. After using it five times, I can see the effect. My hair looks natural and gets an additional sun-kissed look in the sunlight. It does dry out the hair a bit, but I am very satisfied with the result.
It's a similar story, everything is just like Anna's... It noticeably lightens, but the hair also becomes dry and starts tangling...
The spray actually lightens the hair, BUT it contains hydrogen peroxide, so the color doesn't wash out and dark roots grow out. Another downside is that at first, the hair has a cool blonde, wheat color, but then it starts to turn yellow and looks like cheap hair dye. In general, it was not easy to get rid of it, I had to dye my hair with another dye to blend the roots, so be careful!
