Corrective Solution for Oily and Problem Skin La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M

I am disappointed as after several days of using this product, I developed burns on my skin. I do not recommend it.

I ordered the gel as a gift for my daughter who is 11 years old. The gel is wonderful for my oily skin. I applied it after cleansing and I'm impressed with how lightweight it is, how quickly it absorbs, and its pleasant scent. I definitely give permission for my daughter to use it.

There are no questions about the cream itself, I have been using it for a long time and it suits me well. However, I have a question about the makeup: you have a promotion where you get a 15ml Effaclar cream as a gift when purchasing one product. So, I ordered the full-size product and everything on the packaging has Ukrainian addresses as it should, but the gift has Russian addresses and the expiration dates are fresh.

My love has been for many years.

We are using it for the first time, for our 8-year-old daughter. We noticed the effect on blackheads and pimples right from the start. We are satisfied! The breakouts have reduced, but continuous use is necessary for visible results.

I didn't buy it here, but maybe my review can help someone. In one word - awful. The cream became greasy, you can feel it on the skin, and it even stings. I won't be able to test it for a long time because it's torture. I wonder if the manufacturer actually gathered a test group for research?

The old version moisturized, prevented the formation of comedones, and makeup applied perfectly on it. A thicker layer helped fight subcutaneous formations. In short, it was a multifunctional product.

Please bring back the old version because I'll have to look for another manufacturer.

BUT... this time, the company made duo+M and removed the regular duo from sale. I am disappointed. I have a combination skin type, quite sensitive. After 1 week of using duo+M, I had 5 big under-the-skin breakouts on my forehead. Luckily, I had the sms cream (prescribed by a dermatologist 4 years ago, contains a bit of antibiotic) at hand, so after 4 days of application, they started to fade gradually. Now I found the K+ cream and started using it. No new breakouts appeared.

I am very disappointed with the "innovation" of the brand. The duo cream was of high quality and worked excellently, why did you change it... I don't understand.

Terrible cream, it burns my face after using it.

Great cream, I use it at night after washing my face with gel and serum with acids. In the morning, my face is bright, without inflammation, and it removes oiliness. I have very oily and acne-prone skin, and the duo+M works perfectly for me!

The duo+SPF is a bit greasier for me, so I apply it during the day to protect myself from the sun after using acids. It does make my face shiny, but I prefer a little shine in exchange for protection and a comprehensive approach to skincare.

This series is amazing for problematic skin and really helps to heal stubborn acne!

I have been using Duo+ for over a year now, and it has been very helpful in treating painful subcutaneous rashes. With regular use, after 2-3 weeks, the number of rashes increased and my skin condition worsened. However, they eventually disappeared completely and I haven't been bothered by them for at least six months. It also helps with regular pimples. However, I do not recommend using it together with acids or on sensitive areas of the skin, as it can dry out the skin and cause flaking. In my opinion, it is better to apply the product and wait for it to dry, then apply a little bit of B5 restorative cream on top. This prevents irritation and works better. Could you please recommend a skin cleansing product? I have been using Efaclar foaming gel, which works great for oily skin, but I want to try something different.

In comparison to the old version of Duo+, the updated cream is simply amazing. It effectively reduces inflammation and overall, it works better with the skin. I have combination skin that is also very sensitive, but it did not cause any discomfort, burns, or dryness. I have discovered the perfect application for Duo+M - first, I cleanse my face with Toleriane gel-cream, then I use La Roche toner for sensitive skin, followed by Vichy 89 booster. Finally, I apply Duo+M - in the morning with Toleriane sensitive cream and in the evening with Toleriane dermallergo cream. I mix Duo+M with the cream.

I have previously purchased the Duo+ cream (I used it for over a year, bought it in pharmacies and here). It was simply the perfect cream, it did not cause any issues, and it took good care of my face.

Now I have ordered this Duo+M, and it is terrible. The smell is worse than what it used to be, and the cream just rolls off my face. It feels like a waste of money.

I hope they will refund me and bring back the regular Duo+.

I didn't buy it here, but I want to share my experience. Overall, I didn't like it. It made my face itchy and covered in red spots. It also caused a burning sensation and pain. Although it had some effect, I'm not willing to tolerate such discomfort because it prevents me from applying other products due to the pain. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive skin or anyone for that matter. However, everyone's experience is individual, and it may work for many others. So, that's just my opinion :)

The acne caused

I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it's been great! I bought it only because there was a promotion)))) Before that, I wanted to buy it, but I read some reviews saying that it doesn't react well with facial skin, so I decided not to get it. But I want to say that it actually suits me very well, at least for now. I have only noticed positive results - my skin is soft, moisturized throughout the day, doesn't sweat, and there are no irritations. Plus, the texture of the cream is light and it absorbs into the skin immediately. However, I want to mention that I have combination skin type and it's not problematic. Before this, I tried Toleriane cream - it's more oily, lasts a long time, and moisturizes well. But I noticed that my face sweats a lot with it, there are always droplets of sweat above my upper lip and on my forehead when it's very hot, which is not typical for my face. That's why, for now, Duo+M is working really well for me.

I ordered Duo+M hoping to try it out, but I received the regular Dio+ that I have been using for over 10 years! They should have at least informed me beforehand!

This product, in principle, put an end to my struggle with acne. It wasn't severe, but breakouts appeared every few days and left marks afterwards, with the most problematic areas being my forehead and chin. The dermatologist prescribed me adapalene (Deriva C), which didn't help me much, so I stopped using it. However, with this product, I noticed a tremendous difference almost immediately. Now, occasionally, something small may pop up (usually on my cheeks), but it clears up within a few days, without even needing concealer. My life has significantly improved :)

However, on my forehead, it's a different story, I started getting more breakouts. At first, I thought it was just a cleansing effect, but even after 1.5 months, nothing changed. I added a salicylic peel, and the condition of my skin in that area significantly improved. After some time, I decided to try applying Effaclar on my forehead again, and the comedones reappeared, so I will only use it for occasional breakouts on other parts of my face, but I won't continue using it regularly.

The texture of the product is pleasant and quickly absorbed by the skin. There are no redness or breakouts after using it. I have combination skin and the cream does not make my T-zone oily. I bought the one with SPF 30 and I am satisfied with it.

Out of all my skincare products, this one is objectively the worst. My skin became extremely dry and started flaking in the T-zone, causing me a lot of pain. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, I recommend testing it first in a miniature size to avoid wasting money.

Strange cream - it rolls off the face. Of course, if you don't touch your face, there won't be any problems, but if you need to apply makeup or simply touch your face during the day, it all rolls off. And this is not the only cream with such an effect - I have oily skin, so I use the Effaclar line - all creams roll off. By the way, the La Roche-Posay eye cream also rolls off.
