A medical product in the form of an ointment designed to prevent and stop bleeding from the skin and mucous membranes.
Staxedir is a hemostatic ointment that prevents and stops bleeding from the skin and mucous membranes, such as nosebleeds that occur spontaneously or due to trauma, bleeding gums, or external bleeding from the skin.
This medical product is intended for:
people with nasal and sinus conditions: infections, nasal polyps, rhinitis, or chronic inflammation can increase the risk of bleeding.
individuals post-ENT and other procedures: bleeding after ENT surgeries, such as nasal septum operations, or after plastic surgery.
those prone to nosebleeds – during autumn and winter: in dry climates, the nasal mucosa may be more susceptible to damage and bleeding (heating season).
people taking anticoagulants
children and the elderly: nosebleeds are more common in children and the elderly.
allergy sufferers: allergic reactions lead to inflammation of the nasal mucosa, which in turn can cause irritation and weakening of the blood vessels in the nose.
individuals at risk of nose injury: patients frequently exposed to nasal injuries (e.g., athletes, boxers) may be at higher risk of nosebleeds.
patients with chronic conditions: individuals suffering from conditions such as hypertension, blood coagulation disorders, diabetes, or inflammation.
Staxedir contains the Emoxilan® complex, which acts as: a Hemostatic, antifibrinolytic, and procoagulant agent: sodium hyaluronate.
Antioxidant: vitamin E and vitamin E acetate, panthenol.
Antimicrobial agent: silver citrate.
Anti-inflammatory, regenerative, and moisturizing: panthenol, hyaluronic acid.
Sodium hyaluronate – possesses procoagulant and regenerative properties. The action of hyaluronic acid accelerates both coagulation processes and the subsequent adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells during wound healing.
Vitamin E, Vitamin E Acetate – provides antioxidant effects, protecting the epithelium and endothelium from damage and ensuring the integrity of these tissues.
Silver citrate solution – exhibits antibacterial effects, suppressing the growth of both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, thereby limiting the inflammatory process in the nasal cavity.
Panthenol (provitamin B5) – moisturizes the nasal mucosa (maintaining its proper hydration and thereby ensuring a barrier effect) and also has anti-inflammatory and soothing effects on irritations.
