Wrap a 35-40 cm length of floss around the upper phalanges of your middle fingers. Hold the floss taut with your other fingers and gently guide it into the space between your teeth. Avoid making sudden movements or applying excessive force if the floss is difficult to pass between your teeth. Be careful to prevent any undue pressure on your gums to avoid injury. Remove plaque by making a few vertical movements along the side of each tooth. Use a clean section of floss for each gap.
