Camphor essential oil (Cinnamomum camphora) possesses analgesic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, carminative, diuretic, insecticidal, immunizing, and stimulating properties.
Camphor oil can be used for treating depression, acne, sprains, arthritis, muscle pains, rheumatism. Camphor oil is a balancing oil; it soothes nerves and reduces apathy. It is used to repel insects such as flies and moths. Helps with colds and flu, infectious diseases, bronchitis, cough.
Since this oil can be toxic, it SHOULD NOT be used for aromatherapeutic massage, but it can be used in diffusers and ceramic heaters to alleviate respiratory diseases. In some cases, it can also be used in compresses.
Aroma: Woody, intense, camphorous, fresh.
Blends well with: citrus oils, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary.

Bath: Fill the bathtub with warm water and add essential oils that have been pre-mixed with a carrier oil. For one bath, use 6-12 drops of essential oil mixed with one tablespoon (10 ml) of carrier oil.
Massage: Add selected essential oils to the massage oil. In a glass container or bottle, pour about 50 ml of carrier oil, add 10-25 drops of essential oil, and mix well. Store the mixture in a tightly closed dark glass bottle in a cool, light-protected place. Shake the bottle before each use. Typically, 2-3 drops of essential oil are used per teaspoon (5 ml) of carrier oil.
Diffusion: Fill the water container of an aroma lamp or diffuser with water and add 3-6 drops of essential oil.
Sauna: Add 5 drops of essential oil to 1 liter of water.
