Shadow Ice — a unisex eau de parfum by Ajmal, designed for both men and women. This sophisticated and invigorating fragrance offers a refreshing sensation during the summer heat. The perfume composition is filled with fresh, citrusy notes complemented by floral and spicy nuances, culminating in an exquisite and long-lasting trail. The stylish and original bottle design, reminiscent of ice crystals, perfectly reflects the refreshing aromatic melody of the perfume.
Top Note opens with energizing, citrusy tones, featuring the aromatic, slightly tangy scent of bergamot and the juicy, fragrant aroma of mandarin.
Heart Note enchants with a harmonious blend of floral and herbaceous accords, presenting a beautiful bouquet of jasmine, lavender, geranium, and neroli.
Base Note envelops with spicy, piquant hints of nutmeg, pink pepper, and sandalwood, enriched by sensual musky accents.
This didn’t wow me in the least, and I’m a hardcore Ajmal fan! It seems to me that Shadow Ice is modeled after a designer cologne, but unfortunately I cannot figure out which one because I am not a fan of run-of-the-mill designer scents and avoid them. It’s a familiar aroma but alas, I cannot place it. The cologne is quite citrusy for the entire duration, and rather bright in feel, more on the boring end of the scale. I cannot detect any sandalwood, and the floral heart seems nonexistent. Just lots and lots of citruses that I’m not particularly a fan of in general. Not very strong or long lasting either. I expected so much more from this, especially after reading the description on Ajmal’s website which the cologne doesn’t match at all and goes by the description explaining how Shadow Ice is a nighttime cologne. I beg to differ! This smells like a daily spring/summer cologne for work as it’s very safe. Overall, Shadow Ice comes across as ‘cheap’ and very ‘designeresque’.
