Toothpaste for pain relief, stomatitis, inflammation, post-surgical procedures, extractions, and injuries.
Pathogenic microorganisms, removable dentures, and orthodontic devices (braces) with sharp edges, injuries, surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions, cause damage to the oral mucosa and gums, leading to aphthous stomatitis. This results in unpleasant redness and irritation, ulcers, or wound formation, which provoke severe pain and decrease the quality of life.
In these cases, combined treatment is required, which not only effectively fights the formation of bacterial plaque and prevents the occurrence of gingivitis, stomatitis, and inflammation but also helps to CONTROL PAIN.
Curasept Soothing combines the intensive antiseptic action of 0.2% chlorhexidine with the A.D.S. (Anti Discoloration System) against tooth staining and the soothing effect of 0.5% CHLORBUTANOL. Curasept Soothing toothpaste alleviates symptoms of irritation and inflammation of the mucous membrane and gums, resulting from trauma, dental and surgical procedures, stomatitis.
Chlorobutanol is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic substance. It has a local soothing effect on the skin and mucous membrane, acting on nerve endings by blocking pain transmission. It has antibacterial and antifungal effects, enhancing the antiseptic properties of chlorhexidine in combating bacterial plaque.
Chlorhexidine is a molecule first synthesized in 1950 as an antiseptic for mucous membranes, skin, and wounds, and was used as a preservative in ophthalmological pharmaceutical formulations.
In dentistry, chlorhexidine has been used for over thirty years and remains the most effective antiseptic for the oral cavity, considered the GOLD STANDARD, recognized worldwide for controlling dental plaque and preventing gingivitis. Indeed, chlorhexidine can not only destroy the bacterial film but also suppress its formation. Moreover, it has a broad spectrum of action, making it effective against Gram+ and Gram- bacteria, viruses, and fungi, possesses antifungal properties, and does not cause bacterial resistance phenomena in the oral cavity. It is effective in preventing gingivitis, in cases of gingivitis, periodontitis, peri-implantitis, bad breath, as well as for pre- and post-operative wound treatment in the oral cavity. The advantages of chlorhexidine include substantivity, a property that allows it to remain bound to hard and soft tissues for 8/12 hours, ensuring long-term action and efficacy throughout the day.
