Le Galion Lily of the Valley, a niche perfume water for women, first saw the light of day back in the distant year of 1948. It was a spring composition, the mood of which was so desperately needed after the war. Paul Vacher created this fragrance to be uplifting and joyful. It brought relief and happiness. In 2020, it was revived by Domitille Michalon-Bertier. The perfume exudes the scent of lily of the valley, even though there are no pure notes of it in the composition. This effect was achieved through a combination of synthetic accords.
The fragrance unfolds with the patented note of Starfleur, perceived as the intoxicating springtime lilies of the valley. The Kharismal accord is also synthetic. It is felt as petals of blooming peach trees and jasmine. At the heart of the composition lies indole, with the scent of fresh dewy grass, and accords of honey rose—delicate and velvety. To create the sillage, notes of ambroxan, Ambertonic with woody-musky shades, and Sinfonide—a truly musky sensual accord—were combined.
