The Lunette Menstrual Cup, Model 1, from the Lunette brand is a fantastic eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to tampons and sanitary pads. The ability to reuse it multiple times is not the only advantage of this product. With the menstrual cup, there's no need to put your life on hold, as it allows you to live life to the fullest. You can confidently go swimming, jogging, or even to bed with it. The cup perfectly adapts to your body and moves with it, making it virtually unnoticeable. Inside the vagina, it creates a vacuum and collects the fluid without absorbing it, unlike tampons. This prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria or fungi. Model 1 cup is suitable for women with light to moderate flow. If you usually change a low or regular absorbency tampon or pad 2–3 times a day, this is your size.
Features of the Lunette Reusable Menstrual Cup Model 1:
- made from high-quality soft medical-grade silicone, FDA approved;
- each product is hand-packaged in Finland;
- equipped with an extended "tail" for easy removal;
- the "tail" can be trimmed to the length that is convenient for you;
- the outer bottom of the cup has a ridged surface for easy removal;
- incredibly smooth surface does not cause discomfort or irritation;
- a convenient rim prevents spills;
- can be used for up to 8 hours;
- suitable for use at any time of the day;
- the packaging is 100% recyclable and plastic-free.
My favorite cup! (I have 2 fun cups of different sizes and stiffness)
It is easy to insert and unfold; in addition, the tail is long and can be trimmed to fit me. It doesn't stretch too much, making it easy to "catch" inside. It has never leaked and is very comfortable and convenient to remove (in the case of softer ones, it is harder to remove the vacuum, causing temporary discomfort on the cervix). It doesn't shift when worn.
The main downside for me is that due to its elasticity, the ring of the rim is a bit stiff when removing it, and personally, it's a bit uncomfortable because the entrance is sensitive.
