The tongue contains small taste buds that are responsible for various functions, including taste. This tongue cleaner is effective, but if used too vigorously, it may cause damage and undesirable consequences. Generally, tongue cleaners with "brushes" are not considered safe.

Just throw it in the trash! It has bristles (real bristles, quite a lot of them), but it's impossible to clean your tongue with it because it's too hard for that.
