Wet your hands with water and apply a sufficient amount of soap. Rub one palm against the other. Use your right palm to rub the back of your left hand, interlacing your fingers, and repeat with the opposite hand. Rub your palms together again, this time interlacing your fingers. With a rotating motion, rub your left thumb wrapped in your right palm, and vice versa. Use a circular back-and-forth motion to rub the fingertips of one hand on the opposite palm, and switch hands. Rinse your hands with water. The entire procedure should take 40–60 seconds.
