Dissolve 1 teaspoon of the powder in warm water to form a paste. Apply the mixture to the desired area of skin that needs treatment, such as the face, neck, décolleté, hands, scalp, hair, etc. Leave it on as a mask for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. If necessary, cleanse the skin with a toner and apply a nourishing cream.
To prepare a decoction: Add 1 tablespoon of the powder to 500 ml of water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Let it steep for 3-5 hours. Strain the mixture.
To prepare an infusion: Add 1 tablespoon of the powder to 500 ml of warm water and leave it overnight. Strain the mixture. Store in the refrigerator for no more than 2-3 days. Use for washing, skin cleansing, or as a hair rinse after washing. If needed, apply compresses to problematic skin areas.
It can be used in combination with other Ayurvedic powders for enhanced effects.
In its dry form, it closely resembles yellow clay. When water is added, the powder becomes much darker and the mixture becomes sticky, reminiscent of Nutella. The smell is not the most pleasant, as it reminds me of dried grass and herring at the same time, although it is not overpowering.
The most unpleasant aspect is the removal process, as this stuff does not want to wash off. It gets into the hair and is quite a hassle. It is better to apply it before, rather than after, taking a shower.
As for the effect, personally, it did nothing for me. It did not dry out, moisturize, or cleanse my oily skin. Whether I use this mask or not, the result is the same.
