The unique Dior Sauvage Elixir Eau de Parfum for men is an exciting creation of the famous French perfumer François Demachy. This non-trivial composition is delicately woven from exquisite notes, harmoniously combined with each other and advantageously emphasising the subtle olfactory facets of each other.
The olfactory pyramid of Dior Sauvage Elixir Eau de Parfum:
Top notes reveal a spicy trio of nutmeg, sultry cinnamon and warming cardamom accords, which effectively set off the expressive citrus accent of ripe grapefruit.
Heart notes are woven from penetratingly sensual sweet vanilla, grassy-rich mountain lavender and freshly cut hay coumarin nuances.
Base notes complete the aroma with salty amber, forest vetiver, resinous patchouli and bitter liquorice undertones.
I usually don't like regular Savages, but I happened to listen to this one and I really enjoyed it. It is extremely rich, loud, and dense. It also has incredible longevity. If you're ready for that, go for it. It's a great scent for winter, just be careful not to overdo it.
My husband has been using this fragrance for a long time, so I decided to buy it online. What a disappointment! It smells like cheap cologne from the Soviet era, but luckily it only lasts for about 20 minutes. Lesson learned: NEVER buy perfume or cosmetics from such markets.
I applied the fragrance, made a small spray on my neck, and that was enough. Even from such a small spray, the fragrance sounded powerful. I didn't feel anything in common with the previous fragrances in this series. It reminds me of the brutal, purely masculine fragrances of the old school. The lavender in the composition gives off a smell that resembles either pine balm or something from shaving foam. It is suitable for men over 35 years old, or better yet, 40+, and for a classic style of clothing. If you perceive lavender as shaving foam, you may not like the fragrance. With such a powerful projection, a 60 ml bottle can last for about 10 years. You should apply only one spray, no more, or else you will suffocate everyone around you. I wore it outside in 20-degree weather, but the fragrance is definitely more suitable for colder seasons. If you enjoy fragrances with pine balm, resin, and a classic masculine scent, you will like this one. It is essential to test it before purchasing, as some people may find the scent of spices to be very intense - it's a matter of personal preference.
I have been using Savage perfume for 5 years and decided to purchase Elixir for myself. I realized that it is my scent and confidently say that I have not come across anything better than them. It is simply amazing. Also, thank you to Makeup for providing the original product.
I received this fragrance as a sample. When I first smelled it, it was warm, pleasant, alluring, and distinctive, so I started "wearing" it. Only when I decided to purchase a bottle for myself did I find out that it was intended for men! It was just perfect for me during winter.
