The renowned American designer Bijan Pakzad introduced a fragrance for men to the discerning public, bearing the straightforward and intelligible name of Bijan Men. This fragrance made its debut in 1987, a year after the dizzying success of the women's fragrance, Bijan Women. The composition of Bijan Men merges floral, fruity, and oriental notes. This eclectic blend pays homage to the designer's Eastern heritage and his American success. The fragrance opens with a harmony of ripe mandarin, nutmeg, lavender, musk, bergamot, sage, and oakmoss.
The "heart" notes resonate with sweet honey, delicate iris, aromatic clove, sandalwood, fragrant jasmine, fir, amber, spicy cinnamon, ylang-ylang, tarragon, and rose. The magnificent composition concludes with an oriental-spicy accord of rosemary, clove, tonka beans, musk, vetiver, white cedar, sweet vanilla, and leather. Such a complex and multifaceted composition lends the fragrance an air of mystery and elegance. A splendid daytime scent, Bijan Men will appeal to men who value originality and uniqueness in everything. It knows no age or social boundaries - Bijan Men erases borders and bestows upon its wearer a sense of tranquility, confidence, and charm.
This is a great fragrance. Yes, it has a slight retro vibe, but man, for this price, when you buy it, you get, first of all, 60% of the Amouage Interlude sound. Yes, it lacks the longevity, the density, and boldness of Amouage. This (modern Bijdan) fragrance is more transparent, you could say diluted, and so on, but it does have the Interlude DNA and for some people, that's only a plus... because you can wear something else the next day (unlike with Amouage). The only downside is that it leans more towards a classic style and is suitable for ages 35 and above.
Hidden jam - as they say in the USA. It sounds herbaceous and luxurious. I have never heard of such a high-level luxury, but it can definitely compete with some niche fragrances in terms of scent plot.
