Before using the cup for the first time, sterilize it in boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Start by washing your hands with soap. Fold the cup; there are different folding methods, so you can try a few and choose the one that works best for you. Insert the folded cup and let it expand inside the vagina. Once inserted, the cup should open with a characteristic suction or popping sound, indicating that it is correctly positioned. If you are unsure, feel the base of the cup—it should be round or oval when properly inserted. If you detect dents or indentations, the cup has not fully opened. Gently grasp the base of the cup (not the stem) and try to rotate it to create a suction seal. To check if the suction is in place, gently pull on the stem; if you feel resistance, it means the suction is established, and the cup is successfully positioned!
