The new release from the American brand Bond No. 9, named Astor Place, made its debut on April 1, 2009. This marks the 34th fragrance created by the esteemed perfume house under the direction of the incomparable Laurice Rahme, in tribute to her beloved city - New York. Perfumer Laurent Le Guernec drew inspiration from the rich history of the neighborhoods, streets, and iconic buildings of this legendary metropolis. Astor Place marks the westernmost edge of the East Village, where in 1967, sculptor Tony Rosenthal installed a rotating black cube at the corner of Lafayette Street and Fourth Avenue. This sculpture, known as "Alamo," is considered a symbol of free-spirited art.
Fresh and intoxicating, Astor Place is the true fragrance of spring in the big city. It is a breath of fresh air that brings warmth after a long, gray winter. This light and warm scent is designed to give its wearer a sense of joy, happiness, and euphoria. Its subtle and versatile nature is equally appreciated by both reserved men and enchanting women.
The delicate floral composition begins with notes of mandarin and violet, unfolds with a "heart" of iris root, poppy, and white freesia, and concludes with a harmonious blend of amber, musk, and teak wood. Bond No. 9 Astor Place is perfectly suited for everyday use.
