Ultra Concentrated Face Serum La Roche-Posay Effaclar Serum

I discovered this product by pure chance. It is the only thing that helps in treating acne and post-acne. I am extremely satisfied with it, beyond 100%.

I bought this product for the first time based on the recommendation of a cosmetologist. I must say... I am not very satisfied. If you have problematic skin, it doesn't really do anything except slightly reduce oiliness.

The packaging was not sealed, just a regular cardboard box. When I started to open it, I was surprised to find a plastic dropper that was twisted so tightly that when I opened the bottle, the glass started to crack on the threads. The threads turned into tiny cracks. I used it very carefully because it was already damaged.

For the price, this product is very poor quality!

I am constantly testing something new, but the best serums are from La Roche. Recently, I've been experiencing a lot of breakouts and nothing has been helping. However, since using this serum, I haven't had a single new pimple and my skin looks much healthier and more radiant. I use it in combination with the cicaplast baume B5 restoring cream from La Roche (which is another favorite of mine - it rescues dry and irritated skin and evens out the tone) because the serum is concentrated and works like a peel. The cream helps to restore the skin and together, I have a fantastic effect. There is also a great serum from La Roche B5, which had an effect from the first use. I want to go back to it as soon as I fully solve my acne problem. I highly recommend these products.

I have been using this product for a month now and I have formed my impression, so I can leave a review. I have a problem area under my chin. In the first week of use, the amount of breakouts there increased, but the other areas of my face started looking much better. The pores became smaller, the skin became softer to touch, and the color became more even. After a month of use, the pimples in the problem areas did decrease, but they are still present. I have also noticed a small pigmented spot, even though I use SPF 50. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, except for one thing - it doesn't work at all on acne scars. I have found a solution for problematic skin with breakouts. After two weeks of use, my skin has become cleaner and the internal pimples, which I have been struggling with for a long time, heal faster, although they always remain inflamed for a long time and do not disappear. In the areas where my skin is sensitive, such as around my nose and lips, it burned more than desired, but this was mainly during the first week, and then everything returned to normal. Overall, this serum is amazing and is the number one choice for problematic skin. I use almost the entire range for problematic skin. I will write about the results after a month of use.

I am 35 years old with combination skin. I used this product in the morning and evening, followed by SPF 30 at home and SPF 50 from La Roche-Posay when outside. It lasted almost 2 months. There was no burning sensation or tingling at all. It is easily absorbed and does not feel greasy or clump. Overall, my skin feels fresher, more moisturized, and well taken care of. However, I cannot say that it had any effect on the small blemishes on my face (and I did not notice any peeling effect either). As a moisturizer, it is not a bad product.

I am writing a review because reviews helped me choose this product. About a year ago, during the winter period, I suffered from skin deterioration. I can't say that it was perfect in other seasons and years, but it was terrible (see attached photo). The serum is amazing, and within a day, my skin looks better. However, the first few times I used it, my face turned red (probably due to acids in the formula), but it went away after some time, so it's better not to use it an hour before going out. Afterwards, I applied SPF (also from La Roche, because this skincare worked well for my skin and I don't want to risk using products from other brands) and additionally moisturized my skin with La Roche Cicaplast. I took a break for a few months without any skincare routine, just occasionally using cream and not having the healthiest diet with sweets and snacks. Breakouts only appeared during a week when I consumed sushi/pizza and washed it down with wine (it was a festive week). I bought the serum again and everything disappeared after a short period of time (around 2 weeks). Now, I also bought the cleansing gel, also from La Roche, in the blue version (200ml lasted for half a year of daily use), but now I decided to try the green one. So, I think I will write a review about it later. Of course, there are still acne breakouts because years of breakouts leave their mark, but it's enough to know that before spring 2023, there were no such (or any) acne.

I have been using this serum for a while now, following the recommended schedule of applying it every other day at night, as advised by my dermatologist, along with other systemic treatments. It truly evens out the skin tone and eliminates both closed and open comedones. Most importantly, it quickly lightens post-acne marks in just a few weeks (normally it takes me several months for them to fade). It only slightly lightens blackheads, but that is not significant since there are plenty of other products available for treating them. Without a doubt, I will be ordering more.
