I have been searching for a replacement for my favorite foundation, which is no longer being produced, and I chose Lumene. The shade 00 matched my fair skin, even though I am not extremely pale. However, shade 01 has a yellow tint - I chose the color in a physical store and liked how it looked on my hand at the time. But when applied to my face, I was very disappointed. It is difficult to apply, does not adapt to the skin tone, does not blend well, and looks like a mask with streaks, even though it is not heavy, in fact, it is liquid and therefore runs out quickly. At the same time, it accentuates all wrinkles, dry patches, and so on. Before applying, you need to moisturize the skin very well, even though mine is not dry at all, but after that, it becomes even more difficult to apply, with streaks. It does not cover redness well either - it fades quickly. There is also no "wow" mattifying effect - after a couple of hours, it becomes oily. Furthermore, it is not recommended for people with acne as it contains comedogenic talc. I am not an expert in foundations, but I did not like this one. I could say that the product matches its price, although I believe there are better options among budget brands.
It mattifies and does not dry out, it's the first time I've seen something like this. I support all the positive reviews. Shade 0 is perfect for fair-skinned people, without any yellow undertones. I have dry skin without visible pores, it doesn't dry it out. I'm satisfied, thank you to the manufacturer. I asked the store to send me the declaration number via SMS, so that I could pay for the order at the new post office upon receiving it. I didn't receive an SMS from Makeup, Alina responded but didn't send it. I called the new post office where they informed me of the declaration number.
I absolutely love this foundation. I have combination skin. The cream effectively covers imperfections without drying out my skin. The key is to moisturize before applying the cream. I have been using it for several years now and it has never let me down.
Honestly, after using various foundations for 5-7 years, this is one of the worst ones I have had to use. The foundation is awful, a classic beige in shade 01, but after a minute or two, it oxidizes to such a degree that it is on par with the darkest shades of foundations I have seen. It's just terrible, and this is considering that it is not one of the cheapest options available!
I highly recommend it. I've been using it for a long time. It doesn't dry out my skin. It applies evenly and leaves my skin looking smooth. My friends are surprised by how light the foundation feels on my face.
I am satisfied with this foundation for my acne-prone and oily skin, but it is necessary to moisturize the skin before applying it, as it can accentuate all your imperfections.
Best foundation I've ever had! It perfectly suits light skin.
This foundation is really great, and it works perfectly for oily skin.
The foundation is amazing, it effectively covers redness and blends seamlessly with the skin (there is no visible boundary between the face and neck when applying the foundation). It provides a beautiful matte finish, which is perfect for my combination skin. The shade matches perfectly, and it doesn't dry out my skin. The texture is delicate and silky to the touch. I highly recommend it!
The shade of this product is a perfect match and it feels light on the skin. However, it doesn't last all day and it tends to dry out the skin, even if I moisturize it beforehand. It's not very suitable for dry skin.
The Light Ivory shade is a great match for fair skin, and most importantly, it doesn't make it look yellow. It feels pleasant on the skin.
I tried the Ultra Light foundation. Ladies, if you have fair skin, this may not be the right choice for you. It has a strong yellow undertone, which is unfortunate.
This product suits my sensitive skin perfectly. I use two different shades and mix them together.
One of the best, because it is oil-free and does not cause breakouts. Suitable for sensitive skin. There is something to compare it with: M.A.C (STUDIO SCULPT SPF 15 FOUNDATION), Inglot (AMC CREAM FOUNDATION NF), Estee Lauder (Double Wear Stay-in-Place) - personally, for me, these turned out to be worse than Lumene.
I am not picky when it comes to cosmetics, but I didn't like this foundation. I have combination skin, but it emphasizes all my wrinkles and creases. After some time, it also becomes patchy and feels like a mask on my face. It does an okay job at covering redness though.
I have acne-prone skin, and this product does not provoke new breakouts. It effectively covers redness and doesn't feel heavy on the skin.
One of the best for me, it mattifies, lasts long, and is not runny. It does not clog pores.
This product effectively hides imperfections and truly mattifies for a long time. Shade 01 is perfect for fair skin. However, it has an unpleasant smell. Overall, the foundation is not bad, but there are better options available, so I probably won't repurchase it.
It's okay, but not mind-blowing. If you apply too much, it feels heavy on the skin even when using a sponge. It tends to settle into creases, but that's not surprising considering its thick texture. The shades are all good, and it doesn't oxidize. Overall, it's decent, but I won't repurchase it again.
Super!
This foundation is excellent and I've found my perfect match. It fully satisfied my needs, even as a picky person. It effectively covers pigmentation spots but does not hide blemishes. It sits on the skin beautifully and lasts all day. It gives a fresh look and effectively mattifies my skin in shade 0. I will definitely repurchase it. The packaging is convenient.
This product is exactly like Lumene CC Color Correcting Cream, but it has a mattifying effect on the skin. It is an excellent choice for those with oily or combination skin. However, during the winter when there are dry patches or windburn, it may accentuate them. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the skin is well moisturized before applying this product and free from any dryness.
This foundation is quite good, it applies evenly and doesn't spread out. For this price, it is very good.
I have previously used a mattifying foundation in a different packaging. Unfortunately, this product is different from that one. First of all, it provides a more matte effect, and the skin doesn't start to shine as quickly. Secondly, it can accentuate dry patches and settle into pores. Thirdly, the coverage is not very full, it hardly covers anything. Additionally, it quickly sets on the skin, so you have to work fast. I mix it with the same brand's CC cream to prevent it from drying out the skin too much.
Great product! It lasts all day (combination skin). The only thing is that it might accentuate flakiness a bit, so it's important to properly prepare the skin before applying. It looks really beautiful on the face.
A great BB cream for girls with normal, combination, and dry skin. The coverage is very light, with good concealing ability, and it can accentuate dry patches, especially towards the end of the day. However, if you prep your skin properly, you can avoid this. It has good staying power and doesn't transfer onto clothing. I got shade 01, as I have fair skin with a yellow undertone, and it matched perfectly. In this price range, it's an excellent BB cream.
An excellent and affordable foundation. I only use it with the base from Bobbi Brown and Physicians Formula.
The coverage is closer to medium. I have combination skin, but it still needs to be moisturized heavily before application. On the T-zone, where sebum is more prominent and the skin is not as dry as, for example, the chin, the foundation looks quite good and doesn't slide off the skin at the first sign of oiliness. However, on areas where sebum is not produced, after about 3-4 hours, it starts to flake because it continues to dry out the skin, even though the moisture has already been depleted. Consequently, it also accentuates any dry patches, and when the skin is prepped for makeup, applying the foundation can be tolerated with slight emphasis. But after a few hours, when the foundation dries out the dry patches more, they become more noticeable.
In conclusion, the foundation will work best with oily rather than combination skin, as it withstands sebum production and doesn't absorb into the sponge/tissue during makeup touch-ups. For combination skin, it is only suitable if the areas without sebum production are not dry and without flakiness. However, it may not be suitable for very oily skin if makeup touch-ups are done with oil-absorbing tissues (they remove some of the product), but it can withstand sponge application and a layer of powder.
This foundation is really cool! I didn't like Dior as much as this one. It doesn't have heavy coverage, but it can cover any redness and small pimples. It doesn't oxidize and lasts a long time. It also mattifies the skin. The composition is good and it doesn't cause breakouts (which happened with some other foundations).
Another very important point is that Lumene cosmetics is not tested on animals, which is a plus for them in terms of karma and my personal preference.
However, I had a problem with choosing the shade... The first time I got shade 01, it was slightly darker than my skin tone, and then I got shade 00 - it was horribly white, my family even called me a vampire at home haha. Can anyone advise me on which shade to choose? Which one is moderately light? I can't seem to determine it on the website.
The coverage ability is good as it is dense.
They haven't come up with a better foundation yet. It adapts perfectly to the skin tone and effectively conceals imperfections instead of emphasizing them, unlike other brand products.
I have oily facial skin. The foundation applies nicely and has a satin-glossy finish. However, it only stays matte on my skin for about 3 hours, even when set with powder. After that, I need to use blotting papers again.
The cream itself is good, I tested it in the store. Maybe it had oxidized there because it was darker than the one I received in the end. It's a bit on the lighter side (well, and it's too heavy for summer, I thought it would be lighter).
I have combination skin that is prone to redness and breakouts. I purchased shade 00. What can I say about this product?
Pros:
- Long-lasting
- Covers visible blemishes and redness
- Does not transfer onto the phone
- Natural finish, not overly matte
- Does not oxidize much (just a little)
However, it has significant drawbacks for me, which are very noticeable:
- Settles into pores and wrinkles
- Emphasizes flakes if they are present
It definitely won't suit dry skin. It should be fine for normal and combination skin without visible dryness. So, the opinion is mixed. I might use it by mixing it with other foundations, but not on its own.
I have oily skin, and after a few hours, the foundation gets clogged in my pores and becomes visible to the naked eye.
I really liked it. It is good for oily skin. It mattifies well, covers redness and even flakiness nicely. The longevity is also great. It doesn't shine for about 6 hours. I am surprised that I found such a great cream for this price. However, it is still quite heavy for summer.
I have oily, problematic skin. This is the best foundation! It feels light on the skin and does not sink into the pores. The shade matches me perfectly, although it doesn't completely cover serious redness (it covers about 4/5, but that's enough for me). It doesn't cause any allergies or breakouts. And (for those who care), Lumene does not test on animals.
I have oily skin, acne, post-acne marks, and flakiness because I treat my skin with aggressive products.
In terms of coverage, this foundation covers about 4/5 of my skin without the mask-like effect or the feeling of clay on my skin. It has a semi-matte finish that looks quite natural with a subtle highlighting effect, but not a greasy shine. It's just perfect. It emphasizes visible flakiness, especially if the skin is not properly prepped. By the way, shade 1 is ideal for light-medium warm skin tone, without any noticeable pink or yellow undertones.
As for longevity, this is the most long-lasting foundation in my collection. It stays on well, even through seven sweats during a bike ride. For even better longevity, you can powder the problem areas of your face. It doesn't come off in patches. With this foundation, my skin becomes less oily, although this might be due to the effect of niacinamide serum or other medicated products.
I tried this foundation after using a CC cream that didn't suit me at all. It emphasized everything. I'm glad I decided to try this matte foundation. It's a perfect match for me, without exaggeration.
P.S.: For areas with severe flakiness, I usually apply a BB cream from Misha, as it visually smooths them out. Its formula is more luminous, natural, and moisturizing.
I like this brand, but I needed to change my CC cream because my skin tends to get used to products and my favorite ones simply stop working. Since I needed a break, I decided to try a heavier foundation and chose this one. The classic beige shade turned out to be too light for me and gave my skin a grayish undertone. It didn't cover my post-acne marks and emphasized any unevenness and dry patches on my face, as well as settling into fine lines. I have combination skin that tends to get oily. The cream itself is not easy to blend and also not comfortable to wear. I do not recommend it.
I really liked the foundation. When I first apply it, it has a yellowish tint, which scared me at first. But after some time (about 5-10 minutes), the foundation blends with the skin and the yellowish tint is no longer visible. It provides good coverage and has a matte finish. I am very satisfied. I have fair skin like Snow White, and I haven't found a suitable foundation everywhere.
The tone is average. But for this price, Katrietz is better.... The finish is matte, but only for an hour, then shine appears.
The packaging is strange, it always leaks through the cap, the foundation just pours into it.
I received a foundation, shade 00, and it matched perfectly. The color is similar to Fit me 105. I have combination skin and the coverage is medium. It mattifies really well and beautifully evens out the skin.
The foundation is definitely not suitable for oily skin. It doesn't mattify at all, but it provides good coverage. Another downside is that by the end of the day, it leaves a shiny residue and accentuates all the fine lines and pores. It would be more suitable for normal skin, but it didn't work for me.
I experienced breakouts from this foundation. And I couldn't figure out why for a long time until I switched. Also, I should mention that the foundation only stays on for about three hours before it starts to slide off and make my face shine like a light bulb. Furthermore, it accentuates all the flaws later on.
I'm buying it for the second time. I really like it, it has a pleasant texture and it stays on well. I buy these shades for fair skin.
I didn't like it. I purchased the 3-tone (fresh apricot) shade. I have oily skin and this foundation only emphasized it even more. Additionally, the color looked like a mask and highlighted any imperfections on my skin. My beautician was also not impressed with this foundation and recommended that I get rid of it as it damages the skin.
I love Lumene for their truly light foundation shades. I bought shade number 0, which is perfect for pale skin with a neutral undertone. For a radiant effect, you can mix the foundation with a liquid highlighter. As a base, I use Lumene cream for sensitive skin - another favorite product from this brand.
Pros:
- Medium coverage, effectively hides imperfections
- Performs better throughout the day compared to many other foundations
- Non-comedogenic
Cons:
- Does not mattify!
- I have combination skin, and it only mattifies for about an hour(( It's almost the same as the Blur Foundation (which I do not recommend for girls with combination and oily skin specifically because of this)
- I think it will be suitable for winter. Most likely, I will not buy it again.
I have shade 0, and it perfectly suits what I have been looking for in foundations. The shade matches perfectly. It adds freshness to my face and gives a subtle glow. I really liked it, as it meets all my expectations. It lasts well and doesn't harm the skin or clog pores. It is lightweight and effectively covers imperfections on not overly problematic skin. It stays in place when used with a primer and doesn't slide off throughout the day.
