Now, let's talk about the fragrance itself. I can't exactly call it a "compote" because I can clearly smell resinous needles mixed with sweet, sugary berries. The combination of berries and needles is quite rare in perfumery, but... I liked it. It is this resinous note that balances out the excessive sweetness of "la vie en belle" and gives the perfume a touch of bitterness.
