Maybelline Tattoo Liner Gel Eye Pencil

I bought an icy blue pencil. I liked the color, but applying it on the eyelids was extremely difficult. It is very hard. It draws well on the hand, but doesn't want to work on the eyelids.

I bought it from another place, although I chose it based on the reviews here. I read that it can cause allergic reactions in some girls, but I hoped that it wouldn't happen to me because I'm not allergic. However, I tried using it twice and both times, after about 10 minutes, my skin started to burn and turn red. The discomfort lasted for several hours. It's strange that after so many similar reviews, the manufacturer didn't change anything in the formula to prevent these reactions. After the second time, I simply threw it in the trash.

I tried to tame it, but it was impossible. It smudges under the eyes, and that happens even just half an hour after applying it, by the evening it's already a panda look. Moreover, it's quite difficult to remove the residue with micellar water.

The pencil is... not impressive, not soft enough, it stays on the eyes decently, the color doesn't stand out too much on the eyes, I won't buy it again.

I chose the brown shade. It is really cool, doesn't smudge on the eyelids, holds its shape, and beautifully accentuates the eye shape.

I love this pencil! It is soft and draws beautifully. The only downside is that it is not very convenient to draw fine lines with the top part. However, it draws thin lines and the color is a nice shade of blue, not too dark. It is best sharpened with a cosmetic sharpener (I got one for 5 UAH at Avrora), especially the larger one.

The brown shade is simply amazing. It perfectly accentuates the eyes, not subtly, but as if you lifted them with long-lasting eyeshadows.

But why is it not mentioned anywhere that it can be sharpened like a regular pencil?! I have already thrown away two just after a month of use, buying the same one again.

It is difficult to apply, but the color is rich black. I don't know how to draw eyeliner with it because it is not thin and it cannot be smudged, unless you use a makeup remover. It can only be removed with a makeup remover as well. It would be a great long-lasting product, but unfortunately, it leaves dark circles under the eyes and is not suitable for the waterline. So, it turns out that it smudges and is not easily correctable. It has all the negatives on both sides. Overall, it's tolerable, but far from perfect.

I ordered here but from a different mail two weeks ago. I ordered a white gel eyeliner pencil and have been using it for about 1-2 weeks, and I am quite impressed with it! (I will attach a photo below) I apply the pencil to the mucous membrane of my eyes, to the corner of my eye, and to my nose. It does not cause any unpleasant sensations to my mucous membrane and stays on well throughout the day. It's also cool that it can be sharpened. As for the cons: if you layer it too thickly, it may clump.

I ordered a gel eyeliner in shades 900 - Black and 977 - Soft Brown, so I would like to leave a positive review. They do not smudge at all and do not transfer onto the lower eyelids, which is usually the most important factor when choosing cosmetics. They apply smoothly and leave a vibrant pigment (I am especially pleased with the dark brown color, which I tried for the first time). The plastic pencil is not very convenient for sharpening, but they feel nice in the hand 💖.

I have been using various cosmetics for over 20 years - both expensive and cheap - and I have never had any allergies. None, until I bought this pencil. It's just terrible. About an hour or so after applying makeup, the nightmare begins: my eyes start watering, my eyelids swell, and it's simply impossible to endure until the evening. The first time, I thought maybe I got sick or it was just a coincidence, but the same reaction happened the next time. Therefore, I strongly do not recommend it.

I bought the plum shade. The color is amazing! It is highly pigmented and lasts all day. However, in the morning after wearing it, my eyes become red and watery. The allergy is quite severe. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but no, the second time I used it, the same thing happened again. I had red eyes for two days straight.

This pencil is great. I got the gray 901, perfect for everyday use.

The pencil has a rich color, glides smoothly, is long-lasting, and is difficult to smudge intentionally.
But there is one downside!
It is impossible to sharpen it, not even to a fine point. Not because of the horrible plastic, but because the lead breaks when you start drawing a line. Horrible!
Even much cheaper pencils don't have this issue.
Perhaps the manufacturer needs to reconsider the design and make this pencil mechanical!

I am very satisfied with the quality of this pencil. It has almost all shades of brown and black. The application is smooth and the durability is excellent. I have no issues with this pencil, as I use Chanel lead for regular pencils.

I have been using the 921 Ice Blue for several years now. Over time, it has started to dry out, making it difficult to draw. However, it is cost-effective and I use it to accentuate my lower eyelid. It is long-lasting.

The color is perfect, a dark green, but unfortunately I immediately started having an allergic reaction ((( my eyes started watering and hurting. It's possible that I have an intolerance to the ingredients.

I ordered two at once - emerald and gray. The colors are really cool, easy to apply, and long-lasting. Everything was fine until the moment of sharpening... it's like trying to sharpen clay... I am disappointed.

I can only give two stars for durability. However, there are many downsides. The sharpening is problematic, as I have to push the lead out with a cotton swab from the other side of the pencil. It smudges easily, even with the slightest touch. It is too soft, excessively soft. At room temperature (it's autumn outside!), it feels like play-dough. Do I have to store the pencil in the refrigerator just to be able to use it? This is by far the worst pencil I have ever used. I have significant concerns about its formula and texture.

My favorite pencil. It lasts for about an hour (unless it's a gel eyeliner, of course). With this pencil, I can have precise lines for half a day, it only smudges slightly by the evening, giving a light smoky effect. It looks fantastic. I'm already purchasing my second one. I have it in amethyst color, which is perfect for brown eyes.

I accidentally bought this product, confusing it with a similar mechanical pencil from the same brand. This pencil is amazing, I have several of them. The green color is incredible. 932.
I use it to draw eyeliner and it stays on all day, even in the summer or at the gym. It doesn't work as well on the waterline, but it's still good.
I don't have any allergies, even on the waterline, even though I have sensitive eyes.
I love using 960 rose gold on the lower waterline.

I purchased this product for applying eyeliner to my upper lid and for tightlining. I have used it a couple of times to create a winged eyeliner look and to smudge it out, and the results are beautiful. However, it is necessary to blend it immediately.
Removing it is quite difficult. Micellar water and facial cleanser are not able to completely remove it in one go; it takes about 2-3 days to fully wash off. Because of this, I use it rarely. Otherwise, I would use it regularly because the pencil is soft, looks expensive on the eyes, doesn't smudge, and doesn't spread from the upper lid.

It didn't work for me. I experienced discomfort in the eyes. Additionally, it is very difficult to remove. It doesn't blend well.

I have been buying it for the third time in black. It runs out quickly and wears off fast. However, this pencil is amazing! Without a doubt, I will purchase it again.
