The exquisite fragrance, Neroli Sauvage, crafted in 1994 by the sixth-generation perfumer Olivier Creed, is a tribute to the remarkable neroli flower, which has long captivated with its intoxicating scent. It is named after the luxurious and incredibly beautiful town of Nerola, located near Rome. It was here, in a lavish castle surrounded by fragrant gardens, that the beautiful Duchess Anna lived. She hosted the most vivid, exciting, and memorable summer parties in Italy, where men and women would rub neroli flowers on their necks and hands, suddenly enveloped in an incredibly refined aroma.
The bright citrus notes in the composition are perfectly complemented by the noble earthiness of sandalwood and grey amber. The heart of the fragrance is a symphony of intoxicating, sharp, and rich notes of neroli, highlighted by the mesmerizing freshness of bergamot, petitgrain, lemon, verbena, and grapefruit.
The Neroli Sauvage scent is suitable for both modern, successful men and sensual women.
Having the entire Creed collection in my collection, I want to share my impressions of this fragrance. Creed Neroli leans more towards fresh citrus, especially in the beginning of its application. You won't find any heaviness or sweetness in it. It is ridiculously long-lasting, like all Creed fragrances. If you are a fan of oriental scents like me, this is not for you. It is mainly used by my wife at home since it is quite delicate and leans more towards feminine rather than masculine. Although, I occasionally use it myself when going out in nature. It is perfect for those who love natural freshness and citrus.
