Lightening Shampoo - John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo
Chemical - contains a high concentration of sulfates.
I thought it would be my favorite, but after using the Highlight Activating hair product, my hair is incredibly radiant! And this one is also amazing!
The shampoo smells nice and cleans well, producing a good lather. It is clear that it will make the hair drier because it contains lauryl sulfate. I didn't notice any mega brightening effect specifically from the shampoo. Maybe it works better in combination with other products from this series. I also have the conditioner and brightening spray. I haven't been to the hairdresser for 2.5 years, but this option may not be suitable for everyone.
During the summer, I used the shampoo and conditioner. This hair care routine slightly lightened my natural hair color, allowing me to go without a trip to the hair salon for some time.
After using it several times, my hair became like straw, and it does not provide any lightening effect (the conditioner lightens well on its own), it dries out.
This is my third Kerastase shampoo. On its own, it doesn't have any effect without conditioner. I didn't notice any reduction in hair breakage. It didn't work for my sensitive scalp, causing itchiness and not rinsing well (a large amount of shampoo is needed to wash the hair). Pros: eliminates frizz, nice scent.
This is an ordinary shampoo for everyday use. I didn't notice any brightening effect (my hair is chestnut brown). I use it together with the conditioner.
The shampoo is good, it smells pleasant, but after two months of using it with the conditioner from the same line, it is completely ineffective.
Terrible shampoo! I don't recommend it to anyone. I had never had dandruff in my entire life, but after using this shampoo, it appeared.
This shampoo is great, I have been using this line for many years. I have thin but quite thick hair, and I had a severe problem with tangling. It's much better after using this shampoo and conditioner. It has a pleasant salon-like scent. The hair becomes slightly lighter, as if after being in the sun, as advertised. Don't expect to become a blonde after using this shampoo 🤪 or if you are already a blonde, your hair won't become lighter))) It's perfect for brunettes and light brunettes.
I did not like the shampoo at all. After using it, my hair becomes very thin and lacks volume. This effect is completely undesirable for natural blondes with soft and thin hair. The hair becomes messy and difficult to gather with a hairpin, and styling is impossible. The smell is chemical. There is no lightening effect whatsoever (natural blonde lightened from shade 8 to 9).
Interesting shampoo, with a consistency resembling thick cream, but when it comes into contact with water, it creates an incredible amount of foam. Now the consumption is very economical, plus it has an unbelievably pleasant salon-like scent. It cleans the hair very well without the need for additional washing. I believe it has a cumulative lightening effect, which may become noticeable after one or two weeks. It is definitely necessary to get the conditioner as an addition.
I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for several years. The scent is quite pleasant (I was surprised by comments about the smell of onions, because there is absolutely none). It suits my hair very well, it doesn't dry it out and cleanses it nicely.
As for the color, it adds a sun-kissed effect to my natural light shade (meaning it slightly lightens it), and it looks really beautiful.
The shampoo is overall not bad. It caused dandruff for me after some time, but my hair still looked presentable on the third day without using half a bottle of dry shampoo. However, it didn't work at all for my sister. She washed her hair in the evening and it was very greasy the next morning.
As for the brightening effect: I have a level 9 lightening, with cool undertones, and because I had dark hair and a copper tone, the yellowish color bothers me.
I bought this shampoo and conditioner from a Polish store. I read that it brightens the hair. Yes, it does brighten, but in a yellow, warm tone! It contains citrus in the ingredients. My cool undertone got lost.
Like the mask from this series, the scent of fried onions in this product is quite unpleasant for me. However, it effectively removes yellow tones and the shampoo cleanses well, making the application process enjoyable. Unfortunately, the overall experience is diminished due to the smell.
The shampoo is very thick, almost like a cream. I didn't notice any special effects, but I only tried one shampoo from this line. It might lighten slightly, but I started to feel like it was giving my cool natural brown hair a warm tint, adding some yellowing and reddishness.
Even after the first use, it is noticeable that the hair is lighter and more shiny. I have dyed and porous hair. After using this shampoo, my hair styles better. The frizziness of the hair is almost non-existent.
The hair will become dry if used more often than once a week and without conditioner (can be of this brand or any other). It beautifully highlights even natural hair, after hot blow-drying or direct sunlight. I have been using this shampoo for a solid 7 years.
This product is extremely drying for the hair.
The coconut oil effectively reduces yellowing.
This shampoo does not make hair greasy, it makes them shiny as if you just left a salon. However, my blond hair turned yellow after using this shampoo. Therefore, for platinum blondes, this shampoo is not suitable.
The shampoo is simply amazing! My hair looks like it's been styled in a salon, absolutely stunning. It's really great, but unfortunately, my hair gets used to it quickly.
The product did not meet my expectations. If left on for too long, it turns the hair gray, and if used more frequently but for only a few minutes, it damages the hair, leaving it brittle like straw. Even with conditioner, the overall result is quite disappointing. However, the John Frieda conditioner is gentler and has a decent effect.
This shampoo is just ordinary, it doesn't have any brightening effect. It didn't live up to my expectations.
If you use the shampoo without the conditioner from the same line, your hair becomes straw-like. However, in combination, it is quite acceptable.
The shampoo is wonderful. I use it to remove blonde dye from my hair, as it contains a lot of alkaline substances (laureth and lauryl), which makes it foam up a lot and removes the dye in one go. Additionally, it immediately contains lactic acid, which both slightly lightens and conditions (neutralizes the alkaline substances). Thanks to this shampoo, my hair is not stiff, but on the contrary, smooth and elastic, and it styles well. I only use it once a month when dyeing my hair, so it lasts a long time. However, it is expensive for everyday use.
Is this a sulfate-free shampoo?
The scent is pleasant and the consumption is low, but for some reason, the hair becomes very stiff. I use conditioner because I can't do without it.
This shampoo, along with the conditioner from this series, was given to me by my sister from Germany. I finished the shampoo quickly. Unlike the conditioner, I liked it, it was good.
The shampoo has a pleasant scent according to my taste, effectively cleanses the hair until it squeaks, but it does not lighten as claimed by the manufacturer. I have used it a couple of times, maybe it has a cumulative effect.
