The Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation from the Swiss cosmetic company La Prairie is the essential product for achieving flawless skin. It serves both as an exquisite foundation and a professional concealer, providing excellent skincare and UV protection with an SPF 15 filter.
This luxurious foundation features an ultra-light emulsion texture that perfectly evens out skin tone and texture, giving it a naturally flawless look and radiant, uniform color for an extended period. It maintains the proper moisture level of the epidermis, thereby giving it a special silkiness and softness. Moreover, the professional concealer allows for the meticulous concealment of dark circles and other facial imperfections.
The caring formulas of both products, housed in an elegant La Prairie bottle, contain an exclusive lifting complex based on a unique caviar extract. This complex aids in intensive nourishment, hydration, firming, and rejuvenation of the skin, significantly enhancing its elasticity and instantly bestowing it with absolute softness and a stunning youthful glow.
I have tried many different products and settled on this one, it is simply amazing! The price is definitely high, BUT it is worth it! My skin feels velvety and well-groomed, without any mask-like effect. It is very economical to use! It would be more convenient if it had a dispenser. I bought it during the summer and it does not drip or shine on my face in the heat! Solid 5!
La Prairie is a miraculous foundation that also doubles as a concealer. Speaking of the concealer, I have problem areas (I'm 35 years old) under my eyes from some unsuccessful procedures. I am currently trying to address this issue, but a good concealer was highly necessary to cover up the problem area under my eyes. I have tried many brands, but I won't list them all. I will say that La Prairie stays put like a rock. It has a thick consistency, almost like a mask, and provides excellent coverage. It doesn't settle into wrinkles and doesn't dry out throughout the day. My skin is dry and I am extremely satisfied with this product.
Now onto the color. I didn't know this until I tested it beforehand, but the concealer is about two shades lighter than the foundation, which is great. Moving on to the foundation. The downside is that it doesn't have a pump dispenser, so I have to constantly unscrew the bottle, which is quite inconvenient. However, I am willing to overlook this because of its magnificent texture and medium coverage. It also covers my pigmentation and can be layered without drying out or sliding off. It lasts for about seven hours during the day, as long as I don't touch my face. I touch up my makeup with the same brand's powder, and the combination of powder and foundation is the best luxury option for me. After application, the foundation adjusts to my skin and is completely invisible on my face. It gives a radiant glow, as if the skin is shining from within, without any shimmer. The formula itself is wonderful. I can use it on its own without powder, but for a matte finish, I apply powder according to my mood. There are many shades available, with yellow undertones and pink undertones. I have two shades with pink undertones, one in the light shade Peche and the other in Golden Beige for summer. It is quite expensive, but it is worth it, especially considering its nourishing and lifting properties. I am happy with it and don't want to change anything for now.
Concealer - a miracle. The best product I have ever had, and I have tried Dior, Clinique, Shiseido, Helena Rubinstein, and Yves Saint Laurent. It doesn't feel heavy like a mask, doesn't run throughout the day, doesn't settle into wrinkles, and conceals dark circles perfectly while moisturizing wonderfully. The best product for under-eye area!
As for the foundation, there are some downsides. First, it's only 40ml. Second, and most importantly, the spatula is inconvenient to use. You have to carry it on your hand and then apply it to your face. Sometimes you take too much, sometimes too little, and you have to keep dipping into the jar. It's really annoying.
One unquestionable advantage is the color of the face, which others notice - fresh and even. It also doesn't run, doesn't settle, and stays well on dry and oily T-zone skin.
The synthetic brush, I haven't tried using it, seems useless to me.
I can't say anything about the claimed skincare benefits - no positive changes. Overall, the foundation is similar in quality to Lancome Teint Miracle, very similar.
So, I would recommend buying the concealer for under eyes (for those who are cost-conscious), and think about the foundation. If it doesn't strain you financially, go ahead and buy it. Rating: 5, with a small minus.
By the way, the price is slightly inflated on the website.
