The scent is similar to medicinal, but I liked it. It has a strong presence of cypress and vetiver. It is not suitable as a daily perfume, but overall it is a very interesting fragrance. I have not yet explored its longevity and sillage.

It evokes mixed feelings: sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't; sometimes it attracts me, sometimes it repels me; sometimes I can't get enough of it, sometimes it suffocates me. It is essential to test it before purchasing, and preferably multiple times. The scent is long-lasting, noticeable until the evening when applied in the morning with 2-3 sprays. According to my olfactory senses, it is very bitter, like wormwood. Five stars for flawless work and very prompt service!

I randomly bought these perfumes, as I have no knowledge about them, and as soon as I started getting to know them, I couldn't understand whether I liked them or not. But after sniffing them a little, I can say that I like these perfumes. They are probably the first perfumes that evoke certain associations for me, they somehow give me a certain inspiration, even inspiration to comment, which is surprising because I don't even like giving likes. After a while, I started smelling something very familiar and couldn't remember what it was. The first thing that came to mind was something like ink (for some reason, probably because of the black bottle), but then I remembered when I worked on piano restoration and peeled off the shellac from it, it had a very similar smell, the smell of lacquer/shellac/ink with wood. By the way, once I went out with these perfumes in rainy weather and it gave me the impression that this scent complements the aroma of the perfumes perfectly in the air. I will have to pay attention to this when it rains again. With these perfumes, I feel like going out on an autumn day after the rain, to the park to read a book, go out into nature, or watch movies or play a game on the theme of the Middle Ages/fantasy, D&D, etc. :D

Lalique Encre Noire is described as a "mystical elixir." Imagine yourself walking through a pine forest and entering an old pharmacy filled with jars of exotic herbs and spices. This fragrance captures that atmosphere with a blend of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage, combined with the earthy scent of vetiver and the woody aroma of cypress and other evergreen trees.

Encre Noire tells a story of two scents. Firstly, there is cypress and vetiver. Vetiver is the closest to real vetiver oil that I have encountered in mainstream fragrances: earthy, nutty, and slightly sour, like damp soil with cypress trees overhead. It reminds me more of a dark forest on the outskirts of which a stream flows, rather than the sea.

The second scent is synthetic and piercing, tickling the nostrils. ISO-E Super molecule (chemical musk)? Most people reading this probably don't care. It is sharp, unpleasant, and never blends well with cypress and vetiver.

I understand why it is used in this composition: without it, cypress and vetiver would last at best twenty minutes, and the whole composition would be flat, even boring.

If you like the "dark scents" of some Tom Ford perfumes and want a fragrance that is strict and dry without wasting your money, but still want to receive compliments from mature women, then Encre Noir is for you (flankers like Extreme [winter] and Sport [summer] can complement the picture within the framework of one fragrance).

Finding a good "niche" fragrance is quite difficult nowadays, as they tend to be strange, specific, and expensive.

This fragrance truly deserves all the praise it receives. And yes, it is definitely a spring-autumn (which can also be worn on cool summer evenings, but not in winter) fragrance for men aged 40+.

P.S. Encre Noire is a fragrance that polarizes people; you either love it or hate it completely.
