The olfactory pyramid of Bentley for Men Absolute Eau de Parfum:
Top notes reveal refined accords of ginger, skillfully complemented by olibanum and spicy pink pepper shades.
Heart notes are represented by woody accents of Atlas cedar, subtle nuances of papyrus and soft hints of sandalwood.
Base notes complete the symphony with the undertones of amber, moss and oud, creating a delightful trail.
Overall, this product is completely disappointing. It lacks both durability and sound quality. I do not recommend it.
I liked it. It has an undeniable close resemblance to Gucci. As for its longevity, it lasts for about 6-8 hours. Just to clarify, my batch is 23 years old.
This Absolute is the reincarnation of Gucci pour Homme, the famous "chessboard" of the Tom Ford era. But the fragrance itself, GPH, was created by Michel Almairac, just like Absolute. It was not difficult for the perfumer to recreate his own formula and please all those seeking Gucci pour Homme. The same fragrance, the same pyramid, the same resonance. When tested side by side, the difference in aromas is minimal. The technical parameters are almost identical, with Absolute being slightly lighter. And this is not Encre Noir or Black Afgano - it is the old Gucci and a magnificent ode to camphor. The bottle is concise and perfectly executed, in the spirit of Bentley. There is a spirit of the "zeroes" in the fragrance - it's true! The fragrance is very atmospheric, dense, with an incredibly beautiful and luxuriously non-masculine sillage. Personally, I consider this perfume to be the epitome of beauty, and the fragrance itself is in my top 5 best men's fragrances (on par with Gucci, as the prices of perfumes are incomparable, but they are technically almost identical). Thank you, Mr. Almairac and the store, for the opportunity to hunt down this wonder.
In general, this product is like a heap of old powder sprinkled with a bunch of bay leaves (if you doubt it, go to the kitchen, open a pack, and smell it). The scent is linear from start to finish, the same throughout. Well, maybe someone will notice the new pencils? It lasts on me for 2 hours. It doesn't even compare to Lalique L*Extrime. Overall, a complete disappointment.
The fragrance is simply magnificent, luxurious, rich, reminiscent of the good old days when woody scents were in fashion. I thank the store for their excellent work and the wonderful impressions from the perfume.
My colleague bought it and I tested it on myself, now I want such a bottle for myself. It has a very long-lasting and pleasant scent, with vibrant spices at first, followed by a sweet woody note.
The water is good. The scent is original, serious, not annoying...even a little wild :)
The water is superb!
However, it came in a bottle with a completely black cap - couldn't find such even online :)
I bought my second bottle here, with delivery from Poland. The first one was purchased elsewhere in December 2018, with delivery from Prague. I bought it blindly, as I had nowhere to test it. I immediately fell in love with it. I specifically love woody and resinous scents without any floral or vanilla notes.
Camphor. Camphor solution. It brings back good childhood memories, when someone was soldering. Also reminds me of incense in church. Sometimes it has a hint of buckwheat honey, but this one has camphor, specifically pine or fir resin. And then there's the wood. I really like everything about it. It has a certain simplicity, without any overly sweet or fancy elements, yet it remains mysterious, or perhaps even secretive. It could smell like a box where relics or scrolls are kept. But it would also fit perfectly in a carpenter's workshop. It's lively, energetic. And this is despite the fact that I am very skeptical of car brands in perfumery, I won't list them. The Bentley fragrances I've tested didn't leave an impression on me. I just didn't expect such a revelation. Maybe that's why I liked it so much. I recommend it to fans of incense, camphor, and wood.
In the summer, a slightly unpleasant sour note may appear, most likely due to the ginger reacting to the sun, but this depends more on one's well-being. If you're not feeling well, this note might bother you. For me, this fragrance is more natural than perfumery. Like my first bottle, this one has a new design - black metallic shoulders and cap, a heavy metallic cap. The old one, with yellow shoulders and cap, is now being sold by Turks as Arabic fakes. I know for a fact that such replicas exist.
Thanks to the store for the pleasant price. I bought it a little more expensive than it is today (802 UAH), but I don't regret it. Good bistros come to an end, and I rate this fragrance 5/5.
In terms of longevity, it's satisfactory. I can smell it all day, and it may linger on clothes for several days. My first bottle isn't finished yet, but it's difficult to determine the remaining amount precisely because it's very dark and I haven't been able to shine a flashlight through it. I think it's about half full, as I've been conserving it. I bought the new one as a backup.
The scent is absolutely marvelous! It's like magic in a bottle! It's the best alternative to the discontinued Gucci pour Homme 2003. It bears a distant resemblance to Comme des Garcones MAN2, but with a smokier and sweeter note. The blend of cedar and sandalwood sounds incredibly refined and luxurious. It's definitely my favorite for this spring!
