The black oval nail file is designed for care of both natural and artificial nails, depending on its grit level. Predominantly, this type of nail file is used for the maintenance of artificial nails. In this particular design, the abrasive particles are directly applied onto a paper base which is then adhered to a plastic core, rendering it thinner and more rigid. This feature makes it especially convenient for filing nails in hard-to-reach areas. The only downside to these files is that they cannot be washed too frequently.
