This is the best exfoliating product I have ever used. It cleanses the skin wonderfully, unclogs pores, reduces breakouts, and, most importantly, I have forgotten about skin peeling at any time of the year! The foundation applies perfectly. However, the main enzyme indicated on the makeup is subtilisin, but on the bottle itself, papain is mentioned. These are different enzymes with slightly different effects on the skin.
