Darker than on the palette, 504N is almost black. Covered grey hair well. Good paint, diluted with 6% oxidizer 1:1.
504 N - It's almost indistinguishable from black. Very dark. I have more than 50% gray hair, it covers well. It doesn't wash off, the color holds well.
I ordered 504N paint for the first time, it didn't suit my color. I wanted it to be medium brown. It turned out to be just black. Like a raven's wing. It's just awful, how can I fix it now? The paint itself has a good structure, it doesn't flow, there is no strong smell. But after using it, my hair is stiff and gets tangled. I didn't like it. I always used BACO CAARAL paint, but it's not available in the US, so I had to look for an alternative. But I definitely won't buy Matrix now either.
507N. Dyes gray hair up to 95%.
I didn't like the paint at all. I chose color 506, but instead of the color shown in the picture, it turned out to be black. It's just terrible, and I hope it will gradually wash off. Additionally, it has a strong unpleasant smell, unlike other Matrix paints which don't have this odor.
DO NOT recommend!!! I ordered the #506N hair dye, delivered from the EU in a new packaging! Today I colored my hair and it was HORRIBLE. The dye, which was supposed to cover the gray hair!!! It didn't cover it, and it even turned out some kind of reddish color!! I have been using this brand's dyes for over 10 years and I am in complete shock. I also ordered two more packages. And a liter-sized developer #6. Now I have to look for a replacement because they changed the formula along with the packaging and it doesn't work as claimed.
I ordered paint through an online store, and when it arrived... It wasn't from Italy, the packaging was old and torn, the tube was crumpled, and what bothers me the most is that there is no expiration date. Who knows how long it has been sitting in the warehouse?
The coloring result is darker by at least 1 shade. Thanks to the reviews, I bought level 9 instead of my usual level 8 - the result is practically the same. The color holds slightly better than Socolor. However, the range of colors, availability of the product on the website, and its prices are disappointing.
I will say right away that this time I bought the paint in the store after studying the palette, before that I had been ordering Matrix Socolor paint here for several years, but it does not cover gray hair well, I have tried different shades. They advised me to try this line in the store.
Having experience with Matrix coloring, I knew that the paint does not turn out as advertised, it is darker than in the palette, but to this extent... I chose the base 7 M Socolor, a light brown shade, and took 506 NW, a natural warm shade one tone lighter!!! As a result, my hair color turned out to be 2 tones black!!! This is unacceptable, please make sure to test it on a strand before coloring.
I am a customer of MK, but I did not buy the paint here. The paint is very good. It completely hides the gray hair, my thin hair shines, thickens, and looks better. However, I bought it with an addition, I added some protection during coloring, also from the Matrix brand.
The photo of shade 506 M (mocha) does not match reality. In reality, the color is darker and very noble.
I will be ordering, but this time from MK.
The paint is suitable for covering "glass-like" gray hair. I am satisfied with the result of coloring. I have 70% gray hair.
It seems to me that the picture on the website has mixed up the colors in the Matrix palette. 509G is darker than 510G. This misled me for some time.
The product effortlessly conceals gray hair.
"What happened? How is it possible that there haven't been any paints available for a couple of months now?"
My favorite paint!
But what happened? Are they discontinuing this series?
Please suggest what the updated version will be. It seems like I've experienced this before with Matrix. And now again.
I purchased the product 507N and mixed it with a 1:1 ratio of a 3% developer. It completely covers gray hair.
My natural base is cool-toned 6.1.
Therefore, if this dye is used alone on a cool-toned base, it turns yellow. It is necessary to mix it with another shade to achieve a cooler tone.
I mixed it with 7.12 Matrix Socolor. Thanks to this, the yellow tone is less prominent, but it does not cover gray hair as well.
I bought a dark blonde mocha hair color for my mom along with the matching developer. However, instead of the desired result, her hair turned out pitch black, which was extremely disappointing. The grey coverage was successful, but the color itself was a complete disaster. Both my mom and I were shocked by the outcome, and I feel responsible for the terrible result.
I really liked the hair dye! The color 505M is a rich dark shade, and after using the dye, my hair is easily manageable for styling.
The hair dye worked really well. I bought it for my mom's straight and coarse hair with 40% gray. The dye applied evenly and smoothly. I chose shade 508N, and the color turned out to be a rich brown without any red undertones. I will see later how it fades.
I really like this paint, I've been using it for almost a year now. Thank you for the fast delivery!
The paint is wonderful, I bought color 504N and I have no regrets, there is no reddish hue. After coloring, my hair feels soft, the paint easily washes off from the skin, and the gray hair is completely covered.
The product did not dye my hair evenly. The dark auburn shade 506BC turned me into a brunette. I used to use socolor before and everything was fine.
I bought shade 505N. The color turned out slightly darker than 505N in Matrix Socolor Beauty. It fades as quickly as regular Matrix. It covers gray hair well. However, after 2 weeks, it consistently needs to be dyed again. Overall, the dye is not bad. The hair shines, and the color looks expensive.
I purchased shades 506N, 506NA, and 506NW. My hair is dark, probably a level 6. I have 100% gray hair all over my head. I got it dyed with this hair dye at a salon, and then bought it to use at home. It satisfies all my needs. The shades I mentioned almost look the same on my hair and appear very natural. Here's how I dye my hair: I use a 3% developer of the same brand and mix it 1:1 (half a tube of dye is enough for my shoulder-length hair). First, I apply the dye to dry, clean roots and wait for 30 minutes. Then, I spray the length of my hair so it becomes completely damp, and use a comb-brush to spread the dye from the roots to the ends (toning it). There's still a little bit of dye left on the roots, so I distribute it on the damp length as well, comb through, wait for 5 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly, creating lather again with the roots and distributing it. Done. Maybe this method will be useful for someone. For me, the most important thing is to cover the gray roots, and I only tone the rest of my hair. This dye completely satisfies me.
I bought this hair dye to get rid of my redhead after washing it out (photo 1). I previously used Matrix Socolor shade 6A, but it didn't work at all (photo 2). I tried this one in shade 507N, and it did a decent job, although it didn't distribute evenly. I probably started coloring too soon after washing it out. Overall, I am satisfied with the result - the shade is very pleasant and tasty.
The product does a poor job of covering gray hairs. I used shade 508 NA/N with a 6% developer from the same brand.
Regular paint. The color is good, I bought 510.01. Gray hair became visible after the first hair wash.
I use this paint constantly. It is necessary to clarify the color according to the manufacturer's palette. It completely covers gray hair.
The delivery of the product is a separate issue. When I select a time slot for the couriers on the website, I do it so that the delivery can be made at a convenient time for me. Instead, the courier spends the whole day calling and suggesting delivery when it is convenient for him.
The paint is amazing, 505N is just a lifesaver for me. I only touch up the roots, and the paint is truly worth it. Thank you, Makeup.
P.S.
Photo after coloring 507av.
(The website did not allow adding multiple photos at once.)
I am adding to my review about the color 507av:
In the photo, the color looked like what I chose on the website and on the box, it was described as ash pearl blonde (how?????) + a photo after dyeing.
The dye itself is not bad, it leaves the hair silky. However, that's where the positive aspects end. The color is unclear, it's hard to tell if it actually dyed or not. It did not cover the gray hair at all.
There are many positive reviews, so maybe the issue lies specifically with this shade.
I strongly do not recommend the 507av color.
I am satisfied with the result.
Good paint. It effectively covers a lot of gray hair, which my mom has a lot of. However, it is not the softest. We bought shade 505m, which is beautiful, and a 6% developer.
I don't know who wouldn't be satisfied. Maybe they used the wrong developer or there were other reasons. Everything turned out perfectly for me. It covered my gray hair wonderfully. I used the 505 NA shade and also Matrix 6% developer. My hair is shiny, vibrant, and has a beautiful shimmer. I am happy!
I ordered paint 505n on the website and mixed it with a 6% Oxidant from the same brand. I am very satisfied with the result! It covered the gray hair very well! My hair is soft and shiny. The color is natural, just the way I like it, and no one noticed that I dyed my hair!
The store performed excellently, as always, but the paint this time was disappointing: it covered the gray hairs very weakly. I don't know if the stars didn't align properly, or if it was just an unlucky day, or if the quality has changed for the worse.
I used it for 6 weeks. It did dye my hair, but only a week ago. I am disappointed because regular Matrix hair dye gives the same result, and it is better. Therefore, it does not fulfill its purpose.
I have been using this brand for over 7 years and have been fairly satisfied, but my recent use of this dye has left me very disappointed. I used the shade 7N and added 7AV with a 6% developer ratio of 1:1, but the result was very poor. The roots are completely transparent, showing all the gray hair. The dye barely took, and on the third wash, my hair turned reddish with gray. This happened again with the next application. It seems like my last purchase, which included 4 tubes of dye, may have been counterfeit! I can't explain why the results were so bad.
You are simply wizards. I placed an order late in the evening and received it the next day. And to top it off, there was even a small gift.
I have been using this hair dye for 3 years now. Unfortunately, my gray hair still shines through, but not as much as with regular ammonia-based dyes. I have tried Kaaral and Brelil, but they wash out the gray hair faster and more strongly. I have also tried using Matrix with 6% and then switched to 3%, but there was no difference. I even tried pre-pigmentation before dyeing, but my gray hair still shines through, although it appears more scattered and evenly distributed.
Excellent paint. I have been using it for many years and I am very satisfied. The makeup artists did a great job. Delivery to Nikolaev was done the next day after placing an order on the website! Thank you!
I bought the shade 508N. The natural dark brown color. It covers gray hair with a 6% oxide. For the rest of the length, I use ammonia-free Color Sync 8N hair dye from the same brand with a 2.7% developer. It lasts for about a month and gradually washes out. However, my hair is in good condition after using it. I am satisfied. If it didn't wash out completely, it would be perfect, but I have never come across such a long-lasting dye in my life.
In my case, one star is too much. I followed all the usage instructions, bought a large volume of cream-oxidant, but unfortunately it didn't come with a small one. The hair dye in shade 505N couldn't color my hair, and the gray hair was even lighter. Every time I washed my hair, the dye washed out and black water ran down. After two hair washes, it was completely washed out, and all the gray hair was visible again. I have 20% gray hair at the roots, and the smell of the dye is awful. The result is worse than a regular hair dye that I bought for 60 UAH.
My foundation in shade 506N did not cover my grey hair, even though I only have a few. As the stylist said, the grey hair shines through and it ended up looking like tinting. I thought that maybe I was doing something wrong at home, but even at the salon, the effect was the same. Two years ago, this was not the case...either the dye has gone bad or the grey hair has become "stubborn". The service, however, was excellent.
The paint is excellent, it doesn't run. It covered the gray hair well. I will definitely buy more. It provides good volume. The delivery was as always top-notch. Thank you, make up you!
Great paint! The colors are long-lasting and vibrant. It covers gray hair! Thank you to the store for the delivery!
I really like this hair dye, as I have bought it multiple times before. It completely covers my gray hairs, leaving them looking natural and shiny. The color is long-lasting and doesn't fade easily. My shade is 505N.
For good coverage of gray hair, use thin strands and do not skimp on the dye; the result will be worth it.
I purchased the shade 508 N and the same brand's developer with a 6% concentration, mixing them in a 1:1 ratio. My hair is naturally blonde, and the result was a darker shade of blonde, but with a reddish tint. This is particularly noticeable in dimly lit rooms or during overcast weather. However, not all of my gray hairs were covered. On the positive side, the dyeing process and the post-rinse did not have a strong odor. But I'm not sure what to do about the reddish undertone on my blonde hair.
This paint is not even worth one star.
I used 507N +6% developer and left it on for 40 minutes.
It only covered about 70% of the gray (while regular Estelle covers up to 95%).
My hair became dry and brittle, and it gets extremely static.
The color is normal, nothing special.
During the coloring process, I didn't know where to escape from the horribly strong smell of ammonia (much stronger than other ammonia-based dyes).
I will never even consider using this paint again, it's a shame I wasted money on it.
I really liked the hair dye. I used shade 507N with a 6% developer. Since I have stubborn gray hair, I applied it to freshly washed hair. When mixed, the color mixture has a light grayish-brown hue. The color turned out exactly as I wanted, and my hair didn't dry out. The gray hair was successfully dyed. If you look closely, there are still a few strands that are slightly lighter, but it's not very noticeable. I will update my review once I see how it washes out.
Thank you to the team of this website, everything is great. This time, I chose the 510N oxide 6% for the hair dye. The color turned out to be a natural light brown, not green or swampy. Please consider the hair structure, oxide percentage, and previous hair color. I personally selected the shade based on reviews, so hopefully my comment will help someone. I am satisfied with this dye as it covers gray hair flawlessly.
I really liked the paint. It covered the gray hair perfectly, and even after 5 washes, it didn't fade away (I will check again). I used the shade 510G and a 6% developer. On my lightened hair, the color turned out slightly darker with a hint of reddish compared to wheat. I am satisfied with the paint. Thank you to the website team for the fast delivery and gift.
I really like the paint, I got the 508N shade, and it turned out slightly lighter than in the picture. I used a 12% developer, and it covers gray hair perfectly. My hair looks shiny. The service at the store is always excellent! Thank you.
High-quality, long-lasting hair dye that gives a natural look. I mix 10MM-Mokka-Mokka Very Very Light Blonde and 510N-Very Very Light Natural Blonde in equal parts. I use a 9% developer. The store's service deserves 5 stars! You are professionals, thank you!
I haven't used this paint yet, but I have been using 8M for several years - the color is fabulous, and girls have often asked me what kind of paint I use. I have noticed a bit more gray hair, so my hairdresser recommended a series for gray hair. I hope for a good result. Special thanks to the website for their prompt work and polite couriers :)
Great paint. I have been using this paint for several years, it is long-lasting and does not damage the hair. It covers gray hair excellently. The managers work very promptly. Thank you.
Perfect hair dye for gray hair! And the proactive work of the staff is always pleasing :)
I was debating whether to write this or not, but I decided to go ahead. The color 510 N is terrible! It gives my hair a dull, swamp-like shade and doesn't cover the roots. I am not satisfied with this dye.
My hairdresser used this paint in the salon. I dilute it 1:1 (cream can even be more) with a 6% cream oxidant of the same brand and dye my hair myself. It really covers the gray hair and doesn't dry out the hair. I am satisfied with the result. The service of the store, as always, leaves a pleasant impression.
My experience with the MakeUp store started with this hair dye - the price attracted me, as I used to buy it at a higher price before. The quality did not disappoint. I also purchase other product categories - the quality satisfies me. I thank the store team for their fast service. Special thanks for the gifts, which is very pleasant. I recommend it to those who are still searching. I wish the team prosperity.
